Worked for a small company for 5+ years. Aug 21 they were bought out by the corporate company. Was transferred into a new simpler role on Dec 21(you wear multiple hats and work your butt off in small companies). Today after working for 90 days they laid me off. Understandably I was making over 40k more than my counterparts off seas instead of in the US. Damn I'm pissed. F corporations. Now what?! I've never been fired, laid off or quit without a job. Want to throw up. I am the sole breadwinner of my family and have young kids. 🤮🤬

Leaving current position today. Haven't really worked all week. Owners/boss is a super curmudgeon bigoted boomer paying $30k (which he claims is enough to live on) plus commission which is easy to get to $50k. One month and my commission was $120 and my fuel bill was about the same. Chasing down new business is costing me all my life energy and with rising costs is unsustainable. He has explicitly told me not to sell to minority businesses and refers to African Americans as negroes. I understand he is 75 and came from a different era but it's 2022 and he was in mixed company. During our morning sales meeting he will refill his coffee from the pot he hides in his private bathroom off the office and not offer any and there is no coffee in the break room. Don't care about the coffee cuz I bring my own…
