went to go poke around on there for the first time in ages and you cant access any of the site without filling out one of their reviews…

Usually Fox News etc go after the “lazy” unemployed but they went after the users of this subreddit. But all the posts are about what working class people complain about all across America everyday—poor management, crazy bosses and coworkers, bad benefits, low wages, higher costs, too many hours, etc. Also after reading so many posts here I have a greater appreciation for how horrible some of these “mom and pop” businesses that are usually celebrated are. Some of the most selfish, poorly educated bosses I’ve heard of. I guess the media thinks these people are all educated on the law and how businesses should run, when so many appear to be fly by nights. Apparently bigger businesses have one benefit (amongst many downsides), which is they know enough to have an HR department.

Surprise surprise. Recently, I was swamped at work and couldn't assist in a project. I told my boss that. She asked me to find someone to cover me for that project. My teammate said he would help and had already informed my boss of the same. I said thanks, owe you one. Weeks later, boss calls me into her office and berated me for not informing her that I had found someone to cover me. I told her, I was informed that that person had already notified her. She insisted that I had to inform her separately even though the other guy had already told her….? Am I bad at communications or is she being unnecessary?? And she also expects everyone to acknowledge her emails even if there's nothing to reply to. For instance, if she emails to say she's on leave, we are expected to reply “noted with thanks”.…

Hey. Basically, I need at least advice, but likely a lot more in that general vein. I'll try to keep this as short as i can, because all the baggage could fill several commercial airplanes. ​ Me : Autistic but IT-gifted and *not* socially inept, always loved video games, computer stuff, mid-thirties white male from Europe, currently living on that tiny joke of an island that did a Brexit. Also have Aphantasia (Literal lack of visual imagination) Problems : Totally ruined education that was never steered back on track when parents were around, leading to basically no jobs, leading to crap barren CV, leading to *less* jobs because I look lazy and stupid. I'm only one of those, your choice which :-P. Learning disability where bad explanations severely confuse me and tangle my brain up and give me anxiety – slow learner but monstrously streamlined when I do learn something.…
