No, I’m not going to jump through your hoops.

Got this response to an application today, for a standard call center job paying barely above minimum wage: Thank you again for your interest in the Lifestyles Concierge position at Aspire Lifestyles! The next step in the hiring process is completing the online assessment. This assessment is as much for you as it is for us, in that it is designed to see if this job is a good fit for how you think and your persona.  We have heard from many candidates that they “love their job for the first time in their career” and that is because they are finally lined up with a job that utilizes their skills and talents. My job has become the exception

I started with my current company about a year ago. I made a previous post about when I decided to apply for another job “just cause”. They countered with an offer over the other company and I stayed, because overall I enjoy where I work and my managers. Well today they doubled down. We had a random department meeting in which they said anyone below director level was getting a $6k a year raise because of inflation. I’m elated about this and for all my coworkers as well. Griend got a letter from HR

He's not the youngest buck anymore and his joints are getting bad. Arthritis and whatnot. He got a note from the doctor saying he needs to be on less active job locations…less standing and walking etc. However, the HR letter literally said, “dont forget this job's ad said you are required you to be able to be active…” It didn't come.out and say it, but the tones seemed to say, “If you can't handle it, get out” I really couldn't believe they put that in writing. I dont think that is illegal per se, but if they fire him, that IS illegal, right? I told him to save that email in several places so it is never lost. Anything else he should do?

Great Places to Work?

Is there a discussion or a place in this subreddit for proven great places to work? I know places like Wegmans and Costco usually rank very high up in employee satisfaction because of the way they treat their employees and the benefits they give. Forgive me if this is not allowed, but I thought it might be a good resource.
