My dad always says “life is a marathon, not a sprint” but I just feel stuck on a never ending treadmill. The rat race is bull shit. The grind is bullshit. It’s all bullshit and I’m ready to die. As many others on this sub have said, therapy really is pointless. Your therapist can’t end capitalism. Your therapist can’t help with the fact that you have to earn a living the rest of your life. I am just done.
Spied on when WFH in bedroom
My husband is currently a cable technician in a major city, with a decent hourly wage, but with the cost of living rising he’s wage is slowly becoming not enough. I think it’s important to mention my girlfriend has an intersex disorder which is mistaken for her being transgender by her coworkers even after trying to tell them otherwise and she’s obviously treated differently because of it, the way she’s spoken to looked at and how she’s treated is all different to her pairs she feels trapped and scared when around strangers so she finds it extremely comforting to be around me which we try to do as often as we can, we do our work as instructed and meet our quota and are often told we’re working well by our shift supervisor. But we’re reported by numerous people upwards of a dozen people for talking and doing nothing all day. This only happens when we work together, I actually tested something to see what would happen by doing little to no work all day on my ownand doing an…
Boomer Work Mentality and Refugees

This relative opined that Ukraine refugees have a very strong work ethic unlike other refugees like from Africa and the middle eastern nations who sit around and “mooch” and that that is why this relative empathizes with Ukrainian refugees more than others. From what I can surmise from this relative's statement is that if you are not focused on immediately finding “hard work/employment” even after fleeing from an active war zone then you are not deserving of foreign aid and are a “lazy refugee”. It seems like a very miseducated and disrespectful thing to pin a “refugee's” value to society on whether they can put in hard work despite escaping a war zone. Does…
