I've had two in a row, so it can't just be me. Nothing screams stubborn asshole narcissist overlord like someone who refuses to admit their eyes are faulty.
I hate my job. One of my supervisors insult me a lot, my manager made me join a work group chat, where they have to submit “daily reports” and they micromanage every single thing I do. The daily reports are also kind of humiliating, because my supervisors have to communicate any mistakes people do (making a drink wrong, making the wrong kind of tea, etc.) in the group chat. I do want to quit, but I’m not sure how that will look, and I’m scared of confrontation. My sisters tell me that I shouldn’t even give a two weeks notice and just tell my boss that I won’t be coming into work anymore. Problem is, my boss is nice to me and asks me if everyone else is nice to me. They’re obviously not, but I don’t want to get into any trouble if I snitch on them. I don’t…
Where should I shop (that isn’t Amazon)?
Since boycotting is the best way to show Amazon and the big box stores that we disapprove off their working conditions, where should I shop to get things that aren't made locally? I'm referring to items like light bulbs, toilet paper, extension cords, electronics, batteries, etc.
IT recruiters
Why don't any of them have an IT background? Feels fukked up to be judged by someone with zero technical experience. I have almost 20 years in IT and some of these recruiters worked in retail or hospitality or just graduated college. WTF

The Allegory of “Severance”
Have you guys seen that show “Severance” with Adam Scott, et. al.? There's a lot to unpack: corporate cult mentality, work-life balance, etc. I'd be interest to see what you all think about it.
I’m a senior software engineer that filled the role of architect, software engineer, and team lead. The company doesn’t plan on hiring anyone new. So I’ve decided my mental health is worth more than my job. What kind of notice should I give? I don’t plan on staying longer than two months and it’s also very easy for me to obtain another job because I set myself apart from my peers. e.g. I wrote 90% of the code for a multi million dollar project by myself. Side note I like my company and my coworkers. I could have floated through the job, but that’s not me. I also want to give the right notice because I know this will cause a few other crucial team members to quit too. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
The Carnation Revolution (Portugal)
I can't express how much I wish I'd learned about this as a kid. This story is wild to me. A joint force of military and civilians overthrew their dictatorship in about 24 hours with only 4 civilian deaths. In the 70s. Obviously we know why this isn't widely taught in the US anyway, I cannot speak for the EU. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnation_Revolution The Carnation Revolution (Portuguese: Revolução dos Cravos), also known as the 25 April (Portuguese: 25 de Abril), was a military coup on 25 April 1974 in Lisbon that overthrew the authoritarian Estado Novo regime,[1] producing fundamental social, economic, territorial, demographic, and political changes in Portugal and its overseas colonies through the Processo Revolucionário Em Curso. It resulted in the Portuguese transition to democracy and the end of the Portuguese Colonial War. The revolution began as a coup organised by the Armed Forces Movement (Portuguese: Movimento das Forças Armadas, MFA),…
Leave early and come home late and rinse and repeat. Yes I know some of you work from but the majority don't and it feels like you're wasting precious time on your job rather than your partner and kids
