To start, I am currently out on FMLA. Before leaving the manager and I spoke about decreased demand for the product I create and how we could probably work out a shorter workweek to facilitate such a decrease. I can’t help but have the feeling that when I return, and he decreases my hours he will also try to reduce my pay. What should I do in the event that this happens?

Friday before last I went to the ER with shortness of breath, some chest pain, dizziness. Cat Scan revealed a serious issue that was going to require a stay in ICU. As I was waiting to be wheeled up I contacted my boss and team via Teams to let them know I was being admitted and to have someone take the on call phone – I work for a government LEO and we.have to be avail 24×7. I was told it was being transfered so I allowed myself to drift off. I was in the ICU for 48 hours and was being moved to a step down unit when my phone rang, I was in a much better state of consciousness and answered it – it was an off hours work call requesting some service, I explained that I couldn't help them, and why, I gave them my bosses number.…
I am just so excited I needed to share! The place I work at pays me will which is why I stay, I mostly like my job and like the people I work with, but the support staff was paid minimum wage and they all ended up quiting because no one could get by and they were trying to hire full time people but there are no adults willing to work for that because they couldn't survive off that in the very wealthy area my job is located. They upped the pay by $5 an hour. FINALLY. It should have been upped years ago. I'm so glad the support staff quit and I'm so happy everyone else banded together and refused to do the support staff jobs after they quit. (They attempted to force us to do it making less than minimum wage because we are paid via commission.) Just…
