I have finally joined the great resignation in the United States. I was employed for a large publicly traded physical therapy company making $25/hour with two higher ed degrees in healthcare. I haven't seen a raise or adjustment to my wage in 3 years. I asked numerous times to no avail. I am fortunate enough to not need a plan B for a few months… so I'm going to volunteer in my community and focus on rejuvenating my own mental and physical health. I think my next big project will be developing a not for profit aimed at providing easy access healthcare to vulnerable communities with a commitment aimed at ensuring top-tier pay for all employees (minimizing profit and maximizing functional money)…. the dreams will continue. sorry just had to share solidarity and get it off my chest! fight on, friends.
My boss came up to me about an oversight on my part. I did not research and correct an issue that was left over from yesterdays shift and he was extremely angry with me and mentioned it could've led to a write up or termination We're extremely understaffed and we've only been operating for a month on a completely new system that no-one is 100% perfect on I was the only manager on the floor for the entire day and I had to organize and direct work for 3 different departments I wasn't in the department that the work was left over in and wasn't given a whole lot of information to work off of No-one gave me any direction in the mornings meeting on what to do with the work. It wasn't even mentioned I have 15 different people constantly asking me questions that I have to do research…
The deed is done.
I bet it suck to own your house!
