I noticed something interesting in a job listing today. There is an executive assistant position for Robert Half listed under remote jobs. The first line of the ad was “are you tired of remote work?” and went on to say the position is located in Ottawa. This is so scummy and dishonest. Why list your non-remote, in-office position in “remote work”? Unfortunately, that's not even the worst part. They're offering $65,000 CAD per year for a direct executive assistant to the CEO (M. Keith Waddell), who makes over $2 Million Dollars PER YEAR. The average rent in Ottawa right now for a one bedroom is ~$1620, so you'd be spending a third of your salary just…
There have been a number of posts where people are complaining (sorry no better word) about no breaks, cut lunches, forced to stay late, harassed by managers, sexual assault, ect. It's astonishing that you people allow these things to happen to you and you don't try to use the resources that are legally at your disposal. I'm victim blaming on this one. Get your shit together.
