What’s the purpose of this sub?
I'm a little confused and sometimes I find myself browsing this sub. Is this sub about like, just not working at all? Or is it for advocating for a better workplace environment? Sometimes I see memes about how shit work can be, and there's discussion on how to make work better. But then the sub is called anti-work, and I see things about not working at all. So I'm a bit confused. If it is about not working, how does one just not work and have money to survive without depending on unemployment and welfare/food stamps?
I am working in a service based IT company in India. I got selected in campus placement and was onboarded in October 2021. The offer letter does not have any contract or bond that I have to work for x years or that I have to return my salary if I resign soon. Now I have an offer from a better product company and I wish to change my job. I handed in my resignation on 20th Feb 2022, and the HR told me that my notice period was 1 month (Notice period at my company is usually 3 months but since I am in my probation (first 6 months) it is 1 month for me).
