I mean, 32% of the wealth is held by 1% of the people, and 70 percent is held by the top 10%. If we take that 10% away, the country is a lot poorer, the GDP is a lot lower, etc. It's tricking ourselves to think we're this #1 super-wealthy nation. We're not (though we still are compared to many). There's a sub-nation inside us that is wealthy, but they do not work the same jobs, walk the same streets, eat the same food, or even go to the same places on the internet, as 90% of the rest of the country.
I’m about to quit
I’m not going to go into further details but let’s just say that today was the last straw. I can easily get another shit job anywhere else so employment isn’t a concern. But when my supervisor sends me home early and then actively searches through my desk to find paperwork from NOVEMBER to hold against me?? Yeah fuck that.

A display in my office broke and I asked one of the bosses if I could repair it since it'll save the company money. He said sure and let me use the company card to buy repair supplies. I fixed the display, but had extra material which I could use to repair the other aging displays which he also said was fine. I also have another boss to whom I report directly who has been out on medical leave. He hasn't been in lately, but his wife works for us part time. She told him that I had fixed something in the store and he called me in a rage angry that I hadn't asked him. I explained that my other boss had said it was ok.
