I’m in quality, measuring parts and writing reports. A few months back, I had my first ever mistake that, while easily rectified, caused my boss to flip out and write me up. Since then, he’s been getting more and more on my ass about minor things and it’s causing me to get nervous about even performing my job. Yesterday, I had my performance review and he said I’ve been making a lot of mistakes and I pointed out the only mistake I made was the one from months ago. Apparently, he considers any time the data is analyzed and I have to fix one or 2 data points (which takes 5 minutes max) to be a mistake. The thing is, if the numbers are good, you aren’t going to think much about it until it gets thrown in the analyzer app. It’s not my fault if the highest number is…
Need Advise on cruel employer
So I quit yesterday from my job as a Direct Support Professional (caregiver) cause my shitty employer has been a dick to me this last couple days threatening me that he’s the “District Manager” like we’re suppose to kneel for him. He’s the district manager for two and more mentally disabled homes in the central coast of California. The one I worked for was for a children’s group home, the other home nearby is 20miles away that’s an Adult Residential Facility. Either way , on Saturday 02/05/2022 around 1pm PT. I gave him a phone call discussing my schedule cause he changed it all of a sudden and without notice to the adult residential facility knowing that I was targeted there before by two of the female residents for false accusation so I got switched to children’s home along with female and male staff. Over the phone call he tells…
Proof that higher pay works
Amazon Canada recently increased its entry level pay to $18- $19, up from $16-$17. This is the result. https://preview.redd.it/yvq22d7kblm81.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=991b00b32f3f781bb825b25909794bb6a00faacb
My boss just told me today that companies aren't legally required to let employees go to doctor's appointment. So if it's necessary, just go on the lunch break. Funny, because the clinics are also closed during the lunch break, I wonder why? Maybe because they're also having a lunch break? Only now I see the meaning of, “if you drop dead, your boss will replace you within 2 weeks” I'm contemplating to hand in my resignation, but it also seems like they're close to firing me, so that I'll hopefully get some kind of severance.
fresh out of college.
It's been 6 months since I've been out of college. Every job is $15/hr starting. How are people living off of this? I'm not going to do 3 jobs just to live. The job industry sucks. It's not my fault that people get annoyed by me saying that's too low. Even in a major city that's too low.
I just received this email “Once a week, share one of our posts to your story and then another day post on your story and tag us. Same with your staff” I have a decent following on IG, but I’m a very private person. For safety reasons I don’t want to openly show where I work. For personal reasons, I don’t want my friends and family knowing I am working here because I am embarrassed and it’s not what I went to school for. Why would a job want require this?
I'm a teacher. Kids I teach started a new trend of stabbing each other with their compass points. All in good fun for them I'm sure, no serious injuries but all I was thinking of was possible contamination. Dealt with the issue while in front of me and then sent a report email to management to ensure they were aware. Ignored my email for two weeks before replying yesterday to say I was at fault for allowing such behavior (I didn't) and wanted my proof for how I had dealt with it. Honestly, we're back full time for the first time in two years. And we're so fricken exhausted. So much paperwork all the time to prove all the things we 'did'. All just fluff really. E.g. fill in all this paperwork to show this child is failing, you know the child is failing, he knows he's failing, and then…
