“Inflation” is a lie
So I have been a long time lurker here and as I have lived in Northern Europe most of my life am in shock. The reason I am made this post is to tell people to go back to the past. Go back to the fall of the Roman Republic and rise of the ceacars. I am no expert nor do I have time to write all of that here. But I know a man ( not personally)that is called Mike Duncan. He has a couple great podcasts going and I would recommend all you go and look a bit at it. The hoarding of wealth, the disruption of democracy and so on. As a history bull I can't help but be sjokked at the similarities. Just wanted to throw it out there.
Sorry for the long post, I'm not sure how to cut it down. Thanks for reading if you do. J = Overnight boss I have a problem with; A, C, M = daytime bosses; R = between bosses and me I'm a cart pusher at a chain grocery store, and we've been closing by about 10PM ever since the pandemic got bad in March 2020. I work evenings, so my schedule usually ends then. A couple daytime managers are there when I get there, and the overnight manager, J, comes in at 9. Since we're only there at the same time for about an hour, we don't usually interact much except when he locks the doors. The thing is, the past few months (since maybe mid-September 2021) it looks like J has been looking for reasons to get me in trouble. He's done a couple things earlier than that -…
I worked as an HR in a small company a few years ago. Please bear with me because this might me a long one. I know and I frequently see how workers really don't like HR in general because they work to protect the company. For me, it was a shitty job, and I was also treated badly. So I replaced a person who, in my opinion, tolerated their behavior for years and I wouldn't blame them because that's just how companies gaslight and abuse you into thinking that you need them. That person I replaced was not allowed to leave/resign from the company on a two weeks notice. They were only allowed to leave until they fully trained a replacement (this only worked for the admin jobs because they only had ONE employee each for accounting and HR since it was, indeed, just a small company of 30) Get…
I'm a shipping coordinator. I deal with people at work. It is company policy that people in the office wear masks. Yesterday our pompous sale ass showed up shouting orders and posturing like he has authority. I've seen this guy twice in the few months I've worked at this place. He starts on this tirade about masks and vaccines, and I walk out. I have had 2 friends die from COVID before they made it to 40. People who don't take it serious boil my blood. Later this guy out right refused to wear a mask even though every office worker and every production worker and every truck driver were wearing a mask. He then asked me to go find something for him at the end of my shift. He's expecting me to have it for him Monday. I'm not going to help him. I'm not going to ask anyone…
