Not even sure how to start this one. It is a long story and I want to try and remain semi vague. So I just started a new job 3 months ago that is no different than my last two jobs. A constant barrage of promises that never come to fruition just to try and keep me churning out profits. Before I even took the job I fully expected this so my hopes weren't up at all. No excitement to even start work here. I just needed a job and paycheck. I was already done two jobs ago. So I have been stressing for a few weeks. I am eligible for their health insurance. The problem is I can't fucking afford their insurance. It is $600 per month, my wages suck and it eats up 95% of my pay each month just paying bills. Taking their healthcare would mean ending…

I’m not a waitress, but I went out to eat with my family. This wonderful lady was able to get everything my family needed and more, juggling multiple orders and drinks. I have anxiety, so a job like this would be impossible for me. I just couldn’t help but be in awe of how she managed be friendly and busy at the same time. It’s practically an art form. I’m not sure what she was paid, but I hope it was damn good. I doubt it though, so I’m happy my family left her with a large enough tip to cover her shift for the night, just in case. Tipping culture sucks, but it makes me happy to be able to put $100 in someone’s hands in that moment. And I’m not trying to brag. I’m fucking livid. My co-worker was raped while she was under age and at her shift yesterday apparently her rapist showed up and just the site of him traumatized her. She was sobbing in the back and unable to finish her shift. Not only did our piece of shit manager cut her paycheck down the the 15 minute increments of when her rapist showed up but apparently he phoned her yelling about “commitments to your team” so loudly from inside his office everyone in the kitchen could hear. And on top of that she’s lost two shifts as “punishment”. I’m so angry and disgusted i have no idea what to say when I see her. EDIT TO ADD: the manager’s family owns the restaurant (his father in law owns it, which includes 2 other locations). Who is a huge piece of shit in his own right. I’m looking for another…
