We have free health care system, a lot of holidays, 13 salaries, and we have to work much less than you guys, also the best colleges are free and our ingress system isnt that hard to get into, the biggest problems we are facing are social inequallity and unemployment, yeah our money is way less valuable than dollar, but the cost of living isnt that great
Hey everyone, I’m absolutely livid. My wife was just told if she doesn’t attend mandatory overtime this weekend that they will dock her pay 6%, even though she volunteered to do overtime next weekend. We have 7.5% CPI increase and they want to dock SIX percent? I looked it up and it’s all perfectly legal as of the at-will bullshit. I would love it if she had the next job lined up already, but I would rather have her just quit on principle. We have emergency funds to tap but god damn. When she protested they just said “go work at Walmart then.” Is this seriously the policy? How do we stand for this?
Planning A Walkout
My crew (and I) have had enough with a money-grubbing sexist being in charge and taking credit for our work while blaming us for any failures. We are planning a mass walkout in a month or two to draw attention to the issue, since no one seems to believe that this guy sucks. He is a hell of a charmer. I am a manager at my work and want to help. How do we do this?
for not wearing a bra to work. okay technically she didn’t cus she didn’t make me call my parents to bring me one but i got scolded. i was doing morning stuff and they came over to me and asked ‘are you wearing a bra?’ to which i said no, and she kind of got pissy with me. they said ‘we don’t do that here, there are little kids here’ like wtf??? and they said it in front of my other boss….. i overreacted a bit and told her why didn’t they tell me this a year ago when i first started working here (i also got dress coded another time, when i wore jeans with holes in them, so was also kind of referencing that) cus there have been plenty of times i haven’t worn one and she said ‘because you were wearing one’???? i feel kind of gross…

Ridiculous interview homework
I just interviewed for an entry level PR job for a state government agency. They told me that they'd like a writing sample to evaluate my writing abilities, which is fair. They said they'd send me a prompt, and that they'd like my sample back within a day or two. After the interview, they waited until just before 5 PM and then emailed me a 187 page PDF. They asked me to read the whole thing, write a press release about it, and send it to them later that same day. I wrote back and told them I was no longer interested in the position.
This probably better applies for those working a set M-F schedule.
