There used to be lots of posts from people in this sub, telling their stories, floating up on the front page. Now almost every post from this sub that floats up are memes and screenshots of tweets. I’m probably just paranoid, but it feels a little like the memes and tweets are drowning out the stories from individuals on purpose. Either way, I personally wish memes and tweets weren’t allowed here. I wish this place was a bit more focused on the actual people that use this sub. Does that make sense? EDIT: Mods, can you make it so only text posts are allowed here?
For some reason I thought it was raised to over $10, but nope still 7.25. Any employer offering that wage should be ashamed of themselves and doesn’t deserve any business, I haven’t seen a wage that low on Indeed in a long time though. How does anyone possibly live on that salary, unless they are a teenager living at home?

When covid first hit and lockdowns happened, a lot of the UK was furloughed. As an introvert, I get sent back up north from the south to spend the summer on furlough. £550 a week for 5 months. I was living with parents and had to pay £80 a month rent. (£600 now I live with my gf) I was making money for doing absolutely nothing. What was I doing during furlough? I was catching up with mates. I lost 15kg (I was 112kg overall down to 97kg) because I had nothing better to do than work out and improve my fitness. I was full of energy.
