I've worked for my company for nearly 8 years and after multiple conversations, last week I resigned due to the push to relocate to a different city, despite the majority of my team being remote. I mean, they complain about places being undersaffed and that “you should do your job properly”. It makes me wonder where are they working so that they don't understand basic human needs
My 6-year old daughter and 3-year old son were racing this morning. My daughter, who’s naturally faster, got ahead of her brother easily and then declared, “Whoever’s in the lead can freeze the person behind them. Freeze!” My son freezes and she starts laughing and runs further ahead before unfreezing him. This continues for over a minute and he start screaming in frustration. So today my son learned how capitalism works. On the plus side, my daughter learned how revolutions work because he stopped listening and blew past her for the win.
Put in my notice last week and was called up to speak with the president of the employer I work for. Magically, they had “found” money to try to use to get me to stay. Didn't have the money all those years I had asked for a raise though. fuck atta here

Ambulance work, mostly 911, nights, loved it. Finally, after years of bartending, waiting tables, any and every minimum wage job you could get, while I tried to juggle school to progress my wage, but fell short because of exhaustion from working full-time and school full-time…I finally had a “livable wage” ($33k/year with benefits).
