College is too expensive for me to handle

I'm only in my second semester and I'm struggling way to much to come up with the money for tuition. I work at a Chic-fil-a on my campus but they only pay me about 8.30/hr and it's one of the highest paying jobs on campus. I don't have a car so I can't really work off campus or it would at least have to be a pretty close walk for me to make it. I have grants to help me out but even with them I still can't make the money up to pay for the rest of my tuition that grants don't cover, and no matter how many scholarships I apply for, I never hear back from them. At this point I really don't know how I'm going to finish out this semester

Why are we not labeling these companies?

Just going through all the stupid reasons why companies are firing the good employees for nonsense shit is also making my blood boil but with so much anger why aren't we making it known what companies are doing these shitty and probably illegal things? Let it be known what company you used to work for.

Friday is my last day.

I could not be more excited. I have worked there for 2 years, during the pandemic and had a few flare ups of my autoimmune disease (no health insurance and had to pay out of pocket), got shingles and a few episodes of depression… hours of wage theft that they said they didn't pay for because it was 'training'. Worked almost every day from home or in the office. They decided to cut my hours by half and I just asked to be laid off. I just want to work on my mental health and physical health for awhile. I am so tired and burnt out. Edit: I do got a plan in place and side projects to dive into…

Tired of this Hell

I was fired from dominoes because a customer was giving me wrong delivery instructions. I went back and forth 6 times the stretch being about a mile and told them there was no house where they were saying the house was. After the third time the guy started to call me a “***ard” I eventually stopped listening to their instructions and found the house and explained to them they were giving me wrong instructions. They threatened to fight me and told me I just needed to listen better. I told him okay then I'm going back to the store and hung up the phone. When I got back to dominoes my manager fired me because they “called corporate” and I refused to deliver the pizza to someone who was verbally abusing me and wanted to physically abuse me as well. The manager was just using this as an excuse to…

Don’t settle for less!!

I made a post in here a week ago about how to make my complaint against my boss stick. During this time: I went from being absolutely tormented for 35 hours a week, to finding a new job IN A DAY that’s going to pay me 3.50 more an hour. My point being don’t settle. I cannot believe I put up with as much as I did out of fear of change. I could have saved myself an entire year of misery and made 12,000 more if I had just bit the bullet when I should have. Don’t be afraid to look around. Don’t be afraid to always keep your options open. And don’t kick yourself too much if you are scared. Just remember: Humans hate change. That’s a biological fact that goes back to caveman days. It makes us uncomfortable, but that doesn’t mean we have to avoid changes.…

Screw Doordash (Satisfying Ending)

This is not my story, it's my brother's. But he gave me consent for me to share it. So, when you order from Doordash, you have the option to revise your tip before your order is complete. And dashers can see what you're tipping before they pick up your order so they can decide if picking up the order is worth it or not . My brother is in college, trying to make ends meet and save up some money before Law School. So he decided to try out working for Doordash. Multiple times, after my brother had dropped off an order, he was screwed over by people taking his tip away. They changed it to zero after the food had been delivered. My brother is a rather hard headed fellow. And he would go right up to someone's door and confront them about this. 9/10 times it would go…
