Automation???
I keep seeing videos of fully automated stores etc in China…. It’s probably here already too. I’m all for advancing technologies but I’m definitely concerned about the millions of jobs that are about to be taken by automation. Thoughts?
I was in my last job 10 years, I also run an etsy store. For years I've been feeling constantly overwhelmed, stressed, feel like drowning in a to do list thats only getting longer and longer, not able to make any progress. KPIs tailored for us to fail
Mind you, I'm actually quite happy with my job, and my manager happens to be the sweetest person on Earth. But I was speaking to her recently about how these KPIs seem to change to get harder and harder as my team is very efficient and good. I told her that this makes no sense to me, as the job is the same, and the fact that we're being so good should make us just top performers, not become mediocre ones by making KPIs harder every time. Her reply left me feeling a bit uneasy, she basically said that although he agrees, the way the top managers see it is that if everyone is doing so good with a KPI, then that means that KPI doesn't work.
