So that is my story
here is the context, I worked in a grocery store. I was the guy who placed the milk and yogurts since September. this morning when I arrived I was told no we replaced you you will be in the grocery department from now on. since November 2022 that I no longer liked this job. it was the taste that had to overflow the camel I said to myself, fuck this I'm leaving. I signed the papers and left. I already have 2 other jobs since the beginning of June so it doesn't bother me at all to have left them. in addition the other 2 jobs the schedules are night and evening while the grocery store was during the day, so I literally didn't care, it made me feel good. I have the 2 jobs only to save money and go live wandering in April 2025. Im so tired of…
I was already working from home full time for a couple of years when Covid hit. But, since I've worked full time from home I've started having health problems – autoimmune – that caues extreme pain, fatique, all that good stuff that comes with an autoimmune disease. But, I'm still able to work even though I do have to miss sometimes because of this condition or medical appointments. I am 100% sure that there is no freaking way, I could go into the office even once or twice a week. Most days I go to bed by 8, and then don't get up until 10 or 15 minutes before I have to start working. My old office is between 40 minutes to an hour from my home with traffic. If there's no traffic it's 20 minutes. It has made me wonder – how many other people are there like me…
If the government actually cared, there would be incentives for businesses and the people to make them work from home. Less car accidents, better for the environment, no congestions which can slow supply chains and reduce productivity. Instead, there has been incentives to force workers to go back and all that it does is benefit the greedy corporations and no one else. In fact, you can no longer write off expenses for working at home, just another big f you to us.
Zero Compensation
Management for (insert retail company here): We need you to get more people signed up for our rewards program. Me: Do I get any kind of reward for meeting the threshold? Management: No just do it. Me: But every time I push it they either don’t care or already have one. Management: You’re obviously not working hard enough. Me: My only incentive now is to do it so they won’t get mad at me.
Yup, food for thought.
Why would they make such horrible rules?
I have Multiple sclerosis and because of this I call out sick sometimes. From October I have called out 18 times due to the illness. I was brought into the HR and was told the having a disease is no excuse for missing work.
It’s pretty self-explanatory
