Hi! I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this but I’m very angry and confused about what to do. My job considers full time 32 hours a week. However, I just took a look at our next few weeks for schedules and there is a week where I am only getting 18.5 hours! I have a baby and I can’t afford to feed us both on that or pay bills. I’ve been there longer than the majority of the staff, who are scheduled for that day! For that week I have the lowest amount of hours. I’m barely making ends meet with my 32-35 hours a week, is there anything I can do if this schedule isn’t changed? Currently, all they tell me is to use my PTO time to make up the hours I’m missing but I don’t think that’s something they should be forcing…
Stealing my tips?
I'm very confused and why I didn't receive any tips
Gas prices & inflation
For those that live in the U.S. over the last few weeks, I've been starting to see a trend in gas prices creeping up again. All I can say is ugh! It's bad enough that food prices are still rising. Over the weekend, I went grocery shopping. In particular there's an item I usually buy where I noticed the price jumped way up to a disgusting amount. Over the past few months l've noticed a price hike with that item. It's just a simple health snack. It seems like my grocery bill keeps going up each week little by little and I don't buy anything different. Do I stop driving and starve? Geez!
Can my supervisor tell me this?
I work at an elementary school – I am not a classroom teacher. I am an hourly employee. I clock in and out every morning/afternoon, and for a 30 minute lunch everyday. Is my principal allowed to tell me I cannot leave the property during my lunch (when I am clocked out)? I am in Virginia, if that matters. This message was sent to all staff today, “Staff members are not permitted to leave campus during the instructional day without prior administrative approval. This is to ensure student supervision and the safety of all. This includes going to 7-11 or any other errand, even during your lunch break or resource. If you have a question, please see Mrs. R or Mr. C.”
( the fight is unsinkable on the signe)
Reminds me to IOI Loyalty Center in Ready Player One, you're in debt for life, living for the shake of corporations.
I guess it’s true what they say. If you’ve only ever owned an emerald mine, every worker looks like a slave.
