OK so this just happened at work yesterday around the evening a guy confronted me that works right next to me saying that I was talking bad about him to his ex because he heard it from my ex and he was threatening me to beat my ass and I kept telling him what’s going on what’s going on but can you tell me what happened ,and he just kept threatening me. i never argue at work or have these childish arguments but i was just blown away from how he was acting , and i have seen him act like this and threaten people but just not with me. he said if someone ever snitched on before he will get them but this was before all this. then after all that argument he told me about what he was told then just today around half an hour ago I…

My last day is next Friday and I requested the Monday off of my last week but it was rejected since they are short staffed (their fault) and currently I’m dealing with an extra work load from a coworker who took off all this week which they allowed. Now it’s a problem for my one day and hey tried to guilt trip me and said I used to get sick often but I still have pto so I don’t see a problem here.

Quiet quitting has been gathering a lot of attention in the media as of late, as well as companies struggling to find employees to fill roles. I would challenge companies to consider that rather than the issue being the general population, the focus should be changed to “undercompensation” or “underrewarding”. These are terms that describe when corporations fail to reward employees for exceeding expectations. Undercompensation occurs when an employee's compensation, including salary, bonuses, and other benefits, does not adequately reflect their contributions to the company. … not sure if this belongs here, but I do believe a majority of us who work any type of service industry from retail, to food, construction suffer from the abuse of cruel, senile, elderly clients. I for one have had enough of it and have snapped and am considering filing a lawsuit against the elderly clients who happily took photos of me struggling to lift a tool, mocked me, complained to my boss and decided to penny pinch the company by refusing to pay for the hours I worked… their reasoning being “they don't want to pay for someone to learn on their property” yet expect new hires to immediatley know what is going on. I'm suspect they are posting these photos somewhere as to mock me, but I have no proof. They are very very wealthy elderly clients with beach front property, and the husband has verbally abused…

As title says, been a pizza Backer for most of my life, always pushing hours , saving saturdays on covid for all my coworkers and boss, when no covid saturdays for me are generally 7 -23 no stop no eat no good waiters that give me shitton of work altogether from 12 o clock non stop til 23 . I just quit, discovering i have a bone sclerosis in my femor from Standing on my feet that long . What did i obtain beside that? Nothing, just illnes…. I ll find something else to do, fortunately i speak 6 languages and got loads of hobbies, i m not a flat person, i ll figure something to do, i don t mind busking streets with my guitar or teaching kids how to skate, something that keeps my leg in motion and not sittin on it with my own weight, it hurts…

I just talked to a recruiter about a potential gig and they gave two different pay rates based on on-site and off-site (remote) work. The remote work was nearly 40% less than on-site. I'm not going to take a pay cut because someone thinks I'm worth less simply because I get to be more productive at home. I hope the rest of you feel this way too, and I hope more people decline offers like this.

Is it just me, or does this seem like an underhanded way of trying to cater to the corporate overlords to make it more difficult to search for the jobs we are looking for or make lower paying jobs more visible and hopefully “desirable”?
