So I work for a retirement community/nursing home. We have mandatory training that has to be done by a certain time period or we will be taken off the schedule, but we aren't given time to do our training while at work and we will not be compensated for the trsining we do off the clock. How do I report this? Google has not been my friend and I don't know how to anonymously file a wage complaint form

I've always felt like this subreddit was here to help people stand up to greed and capitalists. Here is a chance for the subreddit to do just that!

(Edit: to be clear, I haven't worked there in ~7 months, and this happened after I left. This is just what I'm hearing from ex-coworkers who are still there or quit very recently.) I posted a couple weeks ago how the company I used to work for missed payroll. Well, two weeks passed, and another payroll was missed. During the meeting when he announced it, he dropped that fucking line. “I hope everyone is financially responsible.” As if not having enough savings to miss an entire month of pay is a moral failing on his employees' part. Fuck you asshole. Your company ran out of money, who the fuck are you to talk about financially responsible? A couple people I knew there have quit, a couple more have gotten laid off. I don't know why anyone is still working there. The boss is saying non-stop how there's an investor coming…

I am looking for people who have worked at a Starbucks (or similar store) that allows customers to tip but where the tips are rare enough that employees never actually receive more than their regular wage. This could occur because by technically being a tipped worker, the minimum wage is lower than it is for regular employees (and the employers only need to make up the difference after the tips are taken into account). For example, in a state where the minimum wage is $12 per hour but the tipped worker minimum wage is $5 per hour, if an employee receives $4 per hour in tips, the “tips” that they receive simply act a subsidy to the employer's payroll (who would only pay $8 after the tips are added).
