Credit is worthless when you can't afford a house or even an apartment. Fuck the banks. Fuck medical bills. Fuck the system.

Need a 3 min bathroom break? Pause the time tracker. Will get away from your desk to get your DoorDash? Pause the time tracker. Need a 10 or 15 min break in between tasks? Pause the time tracker. The reason is that we get to live in the “comfort of our own homes” and need to meet “productivity expectations” and metrics. People got laid off because they were “violating the company’s trust” by not being productive every damn minute. The company also had access to screenshots of our devices. I know people who start work at 9AM and clock out at almost midnight because of this stupid rule just to meet 8 paid hours on the clock. I quit a week ago and I don’t regret it. They laid off people after I left and not hiring, which means everyone still there get additional work for no extra pay.

My daughter has been planning on turning in her resignation at her job for some time with today being the day. She combed through the employee handbook for any policies and found out all policies were surrounding PTO payout. Anyway, she typed up a resignation letter, walked into her bosses office, and had the talk. She called me and told me her boss wouldn’t take her notice (no reason given) so she went back to her desk and emailed her manager (her boss) and her director (boss’s boss) her resignation. She said in her email that two weeks from Friday would be her last day. About an hour later someone from HR comes up to her and asked her to clean out her desk and leave immediately. The issue is that I am the helldesk technician, they send requests on Friday and then the fired employees call on Monday asking why they can't access their accounts, there is when I have to tell them they got fired. WHY am I supposed to fire people whem I am the helldesk tech? WHYY. This is so annoying

I know I shouldn't but I have exactly 1 coworker who genuinely makes me feel so guilty. We collect carts for a supermarket, and for the most part I've treated this job like an absolute joke. I've come in late, I've left early, I've gotten high on the job and even just sat down for an hour and just read a book. But I happen to have 1 coworker that I only see on Sundays, and when I see him he always tells me not to worry about sitting down, and he'd be a hypocrite for asking me to stop my break when he does the same thing. The problem is that even if he doesn't see it he most assuredly works a hundred times harder than me, and our “breaks” are not comparable. I've never felt bad about things like this before.
