Daniel Avila FORM 960-980 (currently in RDP since my transfer of March of 2023) GROUP-R YEARS OF EMPLOYMENT: 16 ½ YRS Hello, I am submitting my two weeks notice on 5-21-2023 for reason’s I can lightly explain why I am leaving this employment. I feel I am not being used right and being pushed to the right direction of my duties. The knowledge I earn from my skill set I have been taught and trained for within my sixteen years I have been here for this company. I tried many attempts to earn an upper position here at the foam department but ended in a rough condition of bad team leader to management not believing in me or my skill set that I acquired being here at this company. Also I have been verbally, homophobic assault and racism called on from formerly to current employee’s when I report misbehavior acts…

I just moved to Idaho 2 months ago finally got a job after like 200 applications. So i started working for $12.50 an hour because I needed something. First day I got about 5 hours into the shift and I asked the cook when's our break and she laughs at me “There is no breaks in Idaho employers can work you 12 hours 7 days a week with no breaks and if you complain they fire you on the spot” so I went to the manager and asked the manager if this was true and she said “yes you have a problem with it?' and I responded with “I simply come from Connecticut where employees give you like an hour break with a couple 10 or 15 minute breaks” and she responded with “Then you can go back to Connecticut where you can get your brakes i don't need unruly…
There have been multiple arguments made by left-wing politicians as to why we need more immigrants and I will address some of the common ones. “People do not want to work certain jobs that immigrants would happily do.” People do not want to work these jobs because they pay nowhere near as much as they should or enough to be able to live comfortably. These jobs are usually blue collar, which increases your chance of injury and general health degradation. People should be paid very well and provided with health care instead of importing cheap labor. “We need immigrants because our birth rates are too low.” Birth rates in western nations are too low because people do not have enough money to have kids. Bringing in immigrants is a band-aid solution because they will not have enough money to have enough kids to keep birth rates stable. Meaning that we…
confused recent graduate
i apologize in advance if this is the wrong subreddit to post in. delete it if it’s not the correct one. as the title states, i am a recent graduate with a m.s. in psychology. i have extensive knowledge in research and various protocols but focused my capstone on mindfulness-based interventions (mbi’s) on veterans with ptsd. in addition, i took a variety of courses— that while still had me utilize research strategies (e.g. article searching, writing scholarly work)— touched on subjects of mental health and counseling. currently struggling on locating jobs that don’t require a license or further education as i am beyond burnt out from school, but feeling utterly overwhelmed and that i wasted 5 1/2 years to obtain this degree. i feel failed from my program as it forced me into research when i truly am not attempting for that path and not looking into the counseling route…
Work place bullsh*t
Hello! I am a employee of a non corporate Starbucks that is inside a Target shopping center. So I technically work for target and get Target benefits. However a bunch of things have been happening since I was hired 11 months ago. So my main team lead for Starbucks (we can call her bossy), doesn’t know how to do her job. That’s right, she has worked at the SAME position for 25+ years and doesn’t know how to do her job (that’s not even the worse part). Just today she clocked out of her shift 20 mins early without telling ANYONE! Then she went to sit with her friends as I am now by myself struggling to make and take orders with a long line with about a 20 min wait time. Bossy and her friends just WATCHED me struggle with the orders. She never told me why she clocked…
After graduating, I started looking for a job as a trainer in English language. So, I was fairly new to the working environment but I've always tried to maintain good with ethic and a professional relationship with my employer. When I started the job, I was promised an incentive on every student that I teach as long as they get a desired result. Fast forward to one month in, 3 of my students did achieve a very good score, but I was not given any incentive. It was said to be that I only trained them for a few weeks so it wouldn't count. This was not specified when I joined the institute but I let it go. I was also told to motivate the students to sign up for universities and colleges the boss recommends even if it doesn't exactly match with their goals because he would earn a…
I'm currently faced with a challenging dilemma: should I leave a job that I absolutely adore in exchange for a position that will likely bore me to tears? Over the past five years, I've had the privilege of working in an industry that truly ignites my passion. The people I collaborate with are exceptional, and the clients I engage with are remarkable. I consider myself fortunate to have found such fulfillment in my career. However, two significant issues have been weighing heavily on my mind: the lack of clear job boundaries leading to an overwhelming workload and a salary that barely sustains me. When I initially joined this company, my role was loosely defined. While I appreciate the flexibility and the opportunity to take on various responsibilities, things took a turn for the worse when a colleague resigned two years ago. Suddenly, I found myself not only fulfilling my own…
