Last Thursday I was taken by ambulance to the ER because my back went out and I was completely immobile. Ended up needing to be admitted due to a herniated disc and the pain with it, got out on Friday and have been in and out every other day since due to pain. The entire time my boss was texting me about how bad her back hurts from her massage and how she got sunburnt. I went into work today, and while going througg 230 emails she forwarded me an email from Friday morning, when I hadnt even gotten out of the hospital yet, telling me what to do with it and that i need to stay on top of it. My numbness then got worse, my husband took me back to the ER. When i let my boss know she was visibly mad that I was leaving. Later on,…
Despite being at risk of termination, I am exhausted from the constant negative attitude and behavior displayed by my bosses. It is demotivating and takes a toll on my well-being. While I am aware that HR is not a personal friend, what typically happens if I report my boss for verbal abuse?
I loved that time of my life

Towards the end of 5pm today, my manager caught me performing a task that was not assigned to me and belonged to another coworker. Although I executed it correctly, it was not within my job responsibilities and I have been doing it since January. Now, I am apprehensive about going to work tomorrow as I anticipate being reprimanded severely. While I acknowledge that what I did was inappropriate, I am worried about having to explain why I did not simply send an email to the appropriate person to handle the task instead of doing it myself. I am even considering not showing up to work anymore.
Do I need to sign this contract? The company didn't have any contracts like this to sign last year. The company has gone down the shitter in recent months, with them needing to fire their CEO, among other things. I refuse to take full responsibility if my expensive bass gets damaged beyond repair or stolen while on the job. If this isn't the right place to post something like this, please point me to a subreddit where it would be. Thanks, guys 🙂 https://preview.redd.it/hmhri2kmdxva1.png?width=665&format=png&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=e405b3c9d7488bc3afa86cd5e960353034fad6d4
Let me start with saying I am a people pleaser 🫠 I really have a hard time saying no because I feel like it devalues me as an associate. We do a taxi service for dogs at my work to transport them to daycare and back home. It started with her asking me to pick up one dog. Then bring him home. Next it was her two dogs. She really wanted me to bring them to her at home because and didn’t want to come get them. She lives on the opposite side of town and I live in a town over. Effectively doubling my drive home. Some days I don’t mind. But lately it seems like it’s all I’ve been doing. To the point where I’m already expecting to do it for her because she doesn’t “feel good” that day or is having a “Rough morning.” What really bugs…
I started at a new job at the start of the year and it’s just kind numbingly boring but that’s not the point. I have a coworker who has been with this company for 17 years. She’s never been giving a promotion, but she gets her yearly $1 an hour raise. She’s making about $75,000 a year right now. About 10 years into working for the company they opened a new location and transferred all of the people in her position to that facility and offered to help with moving costs. She didn’t want to move so she drives 90 miles both ways to and from work. She also works the offered 2 hours of overtime every day (starts at 4am) and works every Saturday for 8 hours of over time as well. Today she showed us her workforce page and she has accumulated 3,500 hours of paid time off.…
