Hope this is okay. I’m looking for some perspective. Im gonna try and give the key information: I started this job 4 years ago as an intern with horrible pay. 4 months in, I was doing the same job as a regular employee. Same workload and same responsability. My boss at the time was awful. The way she would speak to us was horrible. It was abusive. 15 months ago we got a new boss. He show up being the complete opposite. Always very correct and calm 1 year ago I was given a bad performance review, I argued everything, since most of those things did not happened the way they’re claimed, but my previous boss was already gone and I was told the review was final. I was not given a salary increase. At that stage I was 3 years in. I had 3 teammates and all of them…
What do CEOs actually do all day? So say you are the chairman or CEO of a well known company, what are your day to day tasks and is it less stressful than being a low paid bottom rung of the organisation?

Sheltered Workshop in the Soviet Union
I would like to know where I could find information about it? I think the idea of sheltered workshop is beautiful (as long as they pay the workers a living wage). I think it should be expanded to the general population. Everyone should do an easy work they don't dread for living wage. In today's free market, the only jobs out there are retail and customer service, which require you to take abuse from the public. If we can create more dignifying jobs to the general population, then this is how we lift people out of poverty.
rant/ As the title says, I have had a vacation trip booked since last September (and have been reminding my boss about it.) For context, I work for a company but run my own location. My partner and I are long distance so this trip will be the only time I have a) seen him since end of April, b) the only trip we were able to plan for the year, and c) won’t be able to see him til the fall. I brought up my time off again recently and he is now saying he’ll have some conditions if I want to go. Now I am being told there’s a huge project on the day before I leave. I am going to talk to him today about moving the project up a week or two and I will put in as much work as I can leading up to…
Capitalist anthems.
Just heard living on a prayer and it is a Reagan era capilists wet dream. It's anti union, it's all about perpetual struggle and relying on prayer to make it in life. Fuck bon Jovi anyone else know any songs in a similar vain.
What jobs do y‘all recommend
I‘m 18 and from Europe wanting to live a simple and stressfree life. I don‘t need a high paying job. No luxury, no house, no restaurants, no brand new clothing, no consumerism. Just living in a small apartment with someone else, groceries, time with my loved ones, time in nature, a stressfree life and maybe just a gym membership since I love being active. Do any of you have some job recommendations that can accommodate this lifestyle comfortably? I‘m willing to get a university degree (which is tax funded here) and work a stressfree job for about 35 hours a week later in life. Maybe it‘s utopic but I wanna hear some recommendations
