I’ve been written up again
Hi, staying anonymous here. The other day I was dragged into a meeting where I was written up again. The first time it was because I had just started wasn’t trained properly and fucked up. Do I think I needed to be written up over that? No I didn’t. This time it’s because of an excel error on a report I didn’t notice for a while. I found the problem when asked, provided screen caps and fixed it. So I’m sitting there in this meeting and my boss is calling me a Robot (which I find offensive because I’m autistic) because I use the company’s preferred program to do just my work and not play around on it to find new ways to do this or that. I asked if there’s resources on the program I can use to learn from and he’s like “no, you figure it out yourself…
It was a short week on the job lol
Keep in mind i texted hours before my shift…. THEN on the job application it stated an hourly rate, which turned out to be false. instead its terrible comission rates no hourly. The day I interviewed, the person that was supposed to interview me, wasnt even there. I got my uniform smelling like straight KUSH lmfao so I decided to test the waters and call out
I got laid off from my job and have been trying to find work so I don't have to file for unemployment, because it's so much hassle for something that won't pay my bills. Not even a week later a car hit and run me while I was on my bike and I ended up with my one leg messed up for a bit. Same day, 3 hours later I go to a job interview and explain that since it's a standing job I'd have to wait a week at least bc I got hit by a car. They decided not to move forward with hiring. I'm so fucking tired. What do they want me to do at this point?
even in socialism and communism (neither of which work btw) you still need to work to sustain the nation and yourself
I can’t find a job that I can stick with
I graduated college a few years ago with a bachelor's degree and it's been really hard finding work. Sometimes I land a job but it turns out to be just god awful and with low pay on top of it, I just can't bring myself to stay there. I get that I have to work my way up the ladder to an extent but some of those jobs are just like degrading and take up so much time and energy. They have terrible management and such toxic work culture and offer such measly pay. So far since graduating college, after hundreds of applications, I found jobs at Starbucks, Hertz, CVS, and a grocery store. All companies were so awful to work for, low paying, terribly managed, miserable hours, poor work conditions, treated like a punching bag by customers, zero hope of ever moving up and managers who just degrade you.…
New Lexus… For the owner.
I’m a service plumber and the owner complained we cost too much and didn’t make them enough money (our service side netted $3.8 million for the year). I went to the office to turn in receipts, she pulled up in a new Lexus four hours before our Friday night “Christmas” party at a pizza place. No bonuses, or gifts for us again this year.
Life Below Zero
Alright so work sucks then we die. But the people in “Life Below Zero” have an alternative. This show I started watching as but of background noise while I WORKED late night to meet a deliverable. I have since started to get it more and more why they left and even if I am not serious enough to move to the Arctic it’s a pretty nice alternative to this grind. Give the show a shot Would love to hear about other homestead like lifestyles that aren’t gonna kill me for going outside
I have lately noticed that those who are much more arrogant, entitled and the most difficult to deal with are usually some mid-career level people who think they are much better that me because of their tittle, seniority and the fact that they are making a few grand a year more than me… Sometimes I really have some very difficult time with some superiors. They might ask for some 'help' to get something for them, and they will act as if they are my boss supreme and I have to immidiately complete the task and ignore all the other priorities that my actual boss set for me. Some of them aren't even from my department, but due to some overlap in the processes, we have to sort of work together, but it is usually me who has to help them sort things they should have a total control over. Most…
