I’m rocking a good $.63 raise
My boss has no boundaries
My boss loves to text me at any time of day/day of the week I work 40+ hours 9-5:30(they won’t pay for my 30 min lunch) I already. I have asked her to not text me work related issues until I am clocked in and she just ignores my requests text

Corporate Culture vs. Retail Culture
Hi guys, so I am currently employed with Popshelf(a Dollar General company) and the experience so far has been extremely odd and a bit frustrating. I noticed they were hiring last year. I put in an application and got called somewhere else so I didnt think about the application, and I worked at that place for about a year. Fast forward to this year, I decided to try again. I went in because I saw they were still hiring on Glassdoor for my location with several positions open. I decided to do the basic entry level associate position. I went in on the Friday before mothers day and asked about the position and if the one I applied for was still available. One of the managers was there and she told me that she was doing open interviews Monday so I needed to call her on Monday. I did, and…
Once again I find myself doing delivery driving to make ends meet and get by. I'm glad to have a decent full-time job but it's never enough to cover the luxuries of a full stomach or paying bills on time. I used to live off of delivery pay and tips are sometimes literally the difference between eating for the day or actually sucking it up so you can afford gas to earn money the next day. Over the years I've observed that the orders that give the largest tips, proportionately speaking, are the lowest socioeconomic households I deliver to. Elderly people usually don't tip because of how little they have; the cost of the delivery is already astronomical given their situation. But the several thousand square foot homes in gated communities? I'm lucky to get a tip at all with those deliveries and I wish I was exaggerating. Middle to…
Free at last!
Not gonna bore you with an incredible long story with all the hows and whys, but! I work at Goodwill, and for the past several months my (now ex) boss had just been getting worse, and worse, and worse. Like, he didn't do a damn thing around the store, never filed paper work, only ever had negative things to say about everyone, and over all was just a fucking bully. He didn't have the authority to fire people on the spot, so he would just make people think they were fired by throwing them out of the store, or just make their lives suck to the point they finally quit. Well, he's gone now. The managers won't share the details with us (obviously), but I have it on reasonably good authority that he was fucking his female employees and giving them coveted positions in return. I think part of…
I noticed in the “help” section of my company’s time-tracking software that periodic automated screenshots can be disrupted with certain privacy apps. Does anyone know which apps can be used to achieve this with minimal disruption to my workflow (I take a lot of screenshots)? EDIT: Just to be clear I don’t intend on staying with this company for more than another week, so I’m not very worried about any consequences, but being able to prevent them from seeing screenshots of my computer would make the transition smoother
