Adobe wants me to lose my job
so first off, my company is paying adobe $$$ per month for programs that you used to pay ONCE for. Second, with all these updates they never fixed the horrible bugs where you paste an image from illustrators and the colors get dull and different for NO REASON. Managers were made at me for months and blamed me. it COULD HAVE COSTED ME MY JOB. third. now they are unleashing some AI that can automatically fill an image with whatever you want, so they are basically trying to make most graphic designers useless. Just remember, i will find some trade like wood working, but forget about me paying taxes or buying new iphones. Let adobe take my salary huh? and whos gonna go to restaurants and consoom?
finally quit my job after months of misery and that too after giving my employer a hell of a time because they deserved it. i basically left their clients hanging without training the replacement properly and held the laptop they gave me as collateral for my last months salary because these assholes had cut my pay before and have a history of making employees do extra work to get the last paycheck. anyways, my employer reached out recently and is asking me to send a video of the laptop's battery cycle and battery life and if it meets their standards they will give me my pay. should i do it? i feel like no matter how good it is they will make up a reason that its worn out and cut my pay…
I’m pretty sure it’s legal for them to do this regardless of state, even more so in FL. But yeah, I took 5 days for PTO for a vacation and it was approved. I work as a nurse, do 3 12’s. The PTO would mean that I have 40 allotted hours so I wouldn’t have to work a lot of days beforehand. About a month and a half later, they cancel my PTO and make it to where I work 3 12’s before I have to drive 12 hours for my vacation. I still have the days off at least this way but now I have no time to pack. I know there are worse offenses that I’ve read on here, but this place is losing staff left and right due to scheduling issues. I'm already working a lot. The extra hours he's talking about is when he wants a Saturday off. I'm so fucking frustrated with him saying this but I never say anything because I'm trying to be professional.
