I work in the food industry and got promoted to a Regional manager last August, along with attending culinary school. My current pay as a regional manager is only 40k, and where I live the average salary for that sort of position is around 60k-70k. I’d like to update my indeed resume with this new position along with my schooling and begin applying and see where that can take me, but anytime one of my employees update their resume, my employer immediately knows and either questions them on it extensively or stonewalls them because they assume they’re going to leave soon and they start getting treated subjectively different. Is there a way for me to update my indeed profile without my employer knowing I updated it?
Hey all, More than half of our current staff has walked out of the company I am at because our executive is awful. Yesterday, her assistant texted at 7pm to set up panel interviews for PT staff who are going to be doing customer service. The pay is low and does not require a particularly skilled person to do the job, just a good attitude and a willingness to show up. I found out today our supervisor is making these people go through three rounds of interviews, including two panel interviews. I am looking at a 12-question outline including that all the directors will be introducing themselves and providing context about our departments (most of our departments had turnover and now only consist of one person). This absolutely boils my blood. What am I supposed to say? Oh, the person I was hired to manage had a nervous breakdown and…
Well this is fun….
Mahathir is a Malaysian politician who twice served as a PM. He is no longer relevant in the political scene of Malaysia, however he still held some considerable influence over the conservatives which is unfortunately, majority here in Malaysia
Not much to say besides I really did not like the deminor of the interviewer. Gave me dirty ass looks, didnt even say his name, didnt shake my hand, avoided eye contact. For me that was enough I got up and left. I really wish i checked the reviews before going to this shit hole. Nothing higher than 2 stars. But at least i learned to trust my instincts and walk away. These bosses think everyone is despereate they assume we gonna say yes to all their conditions. They seem to forgot that they also have to make a good impression throughout the interview I mean do you want me to work there or nah?
This is the situation that a close friend of mine has found himself in, he has no idea what to do so please any advice is appreciated. My friend is new to the US, currently living in New York. He started to work as a server at a restaurant but the restaurant was not officially open yet, and they did not have plans for a grand opening any time soon, so when he was offered another job at another restaurant, he decided to take it and gave the manager his two weeks notice. Manager got pissed and decided not to schedule him, which he was fine with. He only worked there for 3 weeks. Since my friend is new to the country he does not have a US bank account yet, so he uses a check cashing service like PLS to cash his paychecks. The first paycheck he got from…
Hello! I'm an aspiring author looking to get my first deal in my debut novel. I've been working on this idea for years now, and I believe it is a good enough idea to put myself out there and try the big leagues! However, I'm kind of a lonely person with not many friends, and understand that feedback and critique are essential to develop and growth. My book, in a nutshell, is about a world where people lost the ability to feel joy. Our brain can't use the happy hormones properly anymore, so basically the whole population falls into depression. However, a company is able to manufacture happiness into drugs – pills like dopamine that give you back the rush of reward, or oxytocin that helps you love and bond. So basically, in this world, happiness is a product and it is for sale. To be happy, you have to…
Looking for advice. I work night shift in a metal shop. About 7 people in a building thats a full city block wide and two blocks long. point is, it's huge. When it's warm outside all the doors get opened. We're not in the greatest neighborhood so some of the doors have metal gates that bolt shut. You need a wrench to escape through those doors. They're also claiming our massive overhead doors are emergency exits as well. They're left open when its warm (almost all doors are) and our entire crew could all walk out side by side arms out without touching. The other overhead door is completely blocked with a steel rack. No room behind it, definitely no way to move it in an emergency. My question is, is this legal? None of these doors are alarmed or marked as emergency exits. They did this (for whatever reason)…
