It really has only gotten worse.
My first day was march 2 and I am yet to be payed. My boss claims “ it’s the payroll companies fault” but I’m fully convinced he just hasn’t put me on payroll at this point. I plan on quitting as soon as I find a new job tho
how it do really be
So I've been browsing this subreddit for a quite while, and however I don't think I'm anti-worker in the fullest meaning of this word, some mind stuff has hit me recently and I decided people here could kindly help me out by giving a piece of advice. Firstly, I've been brought up with a thing that a man should provide, and never was against hard work alltogether with everything that comes with it, like long time travelling, working over hours w/o additional payment etc (I work in IT + Finance sphere, techincal support of ERP systems if someone cares lol). My first work was about 2 or 2 and a half hours from home (been working 2014 – 2016), then I changed it in 2017 up to 2018 and then I went almost full remote with intergrating of above said systems. Afterwards a new job offer raised recently (I've dropped…
Commerical Landlords getting bent
This is my first proper job and it is as a support analyst, I was told €25K a year which would increase to around €27K after probation I was also told I would get 3 days working from home and 2 in the office, months past probation and I’ve not gotten a salary increase and I am only allowed 1 day at home. A person started the same job at the same time but they had 3+ years of experience- their workload is way lower than mine (even though they are way more experienced) My team leader who only looks at numbers seems me doing poorly as I have been given a lot harder tasks that take days to complete when the other worker gets tasks that may take 5 mins (I’ve timed it as I did the tasks for them when they were on holidays) Any advice on what…
Boss listening to security camera audio
So I’ve tried googling and I can’t find a definitive answer. I work for a very small business, less than 10 employees, in Florida. It has recently come to my attention that while working our boss not only watches us on the cameras but has been listening in on our conversations. Two of us work in the same small space with the doors closed so no one walking by could just hear our conversations. We also work very early in the morning when most people aren’t even awake yet. I’d assume we have a reasonable right to privacy to not have our boss just listen to our conversations. Is this something I can take action against?
I'm not sure if this is the right sub for this but I need some work related advice. Recently, I found out that I was paid lower than my colleagues who have the exact same job title and experience than me, with around a £2000 per annum difference. I asked for a raise, which I am more than entitled to considering the situation, I am also a fairly hardworker who likes to get stuck in and volunteer, I always take on feedback in a positive light. To add more context to this, I have actually been asked by my manager, to train up a colleague on a task that they should know how to do, as well as the fact they have the same job as me, they are paid more. I'm not happy about training someone who is paid more than me. There was that whole discussion about 'why…
