Sorry for the noob question but I am trying to understand real world cases. I know people need money but why not work all hours in one job?! I have been living in different countries (rich and poor) and people working for two companies at the same time is not a common practices. Is the opposite. In these countries unfortunately is hard to find a job if you only can work a few hours per day/week. In my personal case (not US) I am not allowed by contract to have a second job. Working for two companies, how many hours/week is needed in your experiences?
Economic bill of rights:
Tired of automotive work with the drama and Bully attitude from people. I'd just like to go somewhere and make money and be at peace.

I left a comment on this thread and it disappeared, but it concerned a worker who was let go two days into a 90 day probationary period. As the recipient of a few instances like that, I found them emotionally crushing, wondering what was wrong with me that a company felt the need to jettison me without any warning or second chance. I was highly insecure about my personality and social skills in my younger years, and incidents like that in hiring processes were one of the primary reasons. I would spend days comparing myself to other workers, wondering what was so awful about me that I couldn't see but was obvious to everyone else, wondering why I was so easy to reject. It's taken me most of my adult life trying to recover from that. The thing is, some employers actively cast aspersions on the applicants they reject and…
Just needed to get this off my chest
I quit my job the other day, mainly due to not being appreciated or compensated for the amount of work I was putting in. For context, my workplace hierarchy goes barista, team leader, supervisor. When I was promoted to team leader, I didn’t get a raise. All the other team leaders got a raise with their promotion except me. Then I found out that me (a team leader) was getting the same hourly wage as a NEW HIRE. I decided to quit, and four other team leaders and supervisors also quit at the same time. My boss promoted one of the team leaders to supervisor right after she put in her two weeks (but obviously did not promote me). Then she gave everyone who was quitting a farewell gift, which was a gift card. One of my coworkers asked me about “the $200 gift card.” My gift card was only…

I know I might sound mean but this whole antiwork just sounds stupid to me if people stop working all together how are people going to get electric l,water internet,tv people won't be working at the factory you will have to hunt you own food and water which by the way is working and don't say robots because people will have to maintain them Which is again work so can anyone tell me why antiwork is a good thing I get some of you have crappy job and guess what you not the only ones that you can go out there on you day off and find a better place to work
First time posting in antiwork. I prefer just reading other people's stories and takes on antiwork but I felt I had to share this article. English is not my native language, if you notice any mistakes. The auther claims he is a leadership consultant who studies workplace psychology and spent more than 30 years helping thousands of individuals navigate tough relationships. He shares 7 (what he call toxic) phrases that he claims highly insecure people always use. “I’ve found that one of the most difficult personality types to deal with are highly insecure people. These are the folks who find comfort in stable and predictable environments. They prefer security and despise changes. But change is a necessity for success.” I feel like this is gaslighting of people who are not treated well at their workplace. Because to me his examples are not toxic phrases. It is phrases of people who…
