I hate recruiters
Scumbag sense of entitlement, lie about wages and when they say they’ll reach out to you for a follow up for a position THEY messaged you for. Will ghost you without hesitation, but act like brats when you do the same to them. Also on LinkedIn they act like gods gift to humanity. By far my least favorite part of the modern day job environment
Be the go to person. be the person willing to pick up shifts, work extra hours, and learn almost every detail of the job. They will start giving you all their work. Do their work for them. While they are slacking off leaving you with most of the work, find a way to cheat the system. put in fake results. steal office supplies and/or claim less inventory than there is. Learn the system so that you know what you're doing in a way you won't get caught. catch some other people doing stuff they're not supposed to and just sweep it under the rug or tell them that you didnt see anything. If you're ever caught, the manager won't really fire you because you're doing too much of their work. If you can keep it up and learn enough skills for a better job and can get it, go for…
Two days ago I applied to this remote job for an international IT company. Today I got the answer: We have just received new information and we have an hourly rate of 5 USD How would be a professional way to tell them that the rate is offensive?? EDIT: I would usually ignore an offer like this, but I'm currently working part time for the same company, but a different branch (at a much higher rate btw), so I would like to answer them in a polite way,

I have explained that I’m autistic and struggle with the large multi stall restrooms. The smells make feel sick and loud noises such as slamming of the toilet seats make my ears hurt. I also need time away from people due to sensory overload using the handicapped restroom for a few minutes helps me so much. Is this legal?
My work has been posting no cellphone rules everywhere. However I am my father's caretaker (Stage 4 cancer patient.) And I keep it on me in case he falls or needs help, or is in trouble. Does this allow me the keep my phone?
Not sure if this is the sub for this or not, but I've seen you give others some really solid advice. So… here I am! Here's the situation: the company I work for is facing some financial issues, and we just found out no one will get paid this week. Boss says he hopes he can get us current sometime next week, but no promises on when. The contractors aren't working again until they get paid because they're hourly (good on them!), but I'm a salaried worker. Technically, I'm not paid for the amount of time I work–I get the same amount every two weeks regardless. Except this week because the pay is delayed. Here's where my dilemma comes in: immediately my thought was “well, if you aren't paying me, I'm not working,” but I'm not sure if I'm legally allowed to do that. Technically, I'm still going to be…
I'm quitting my job this Friday after not being able to afford to take my certification exam anymore. I took it five times and failed all five times so I'm taking the L and leaving this Friday. I put in my two weeks notice and went on about my way. My boss came up to me this morning and asked if I could be convinced to stay a little longer past my two weeks because he just realized that being down a body could be detrimental to the plant. I covered morning shift and did most if not all of our calibrations throughout the week, not to mention being an integral part of our big maintenance projects. But now that I'm leaving (after subtle threats of being fired due to lack of passing my test), he's realized that there is quite literally no wiggle room in the schedule because we…
