Why do employers hate them so much?
overpaying jobs
I know this sub is all for good pay but the amount some people at my company get for bullshit jobs just pisses me off. I do the contracts at a big corporation and its insane the amount some people are overpaid. Some guy gets paid over 80k for what appears to be: posting about being an ally, doing some presentations where he talks employees mental health. Improve our mental health by reducing our workloads maybe? You're not telling me the company couldn't find anyone to fill that job for 50k or even 40k? They waste money on crap like this but the poor secretary staff are still scraping 20k and they have to be there front of house everyday with customer service skills. Why not start them on 25k at least? They're more helpful then the big wigs. It is ridiculous how companies overpay certain folk. And admin/support staff…
So last June I decided to pick up a part time job. Working at a clinic doing sanitization to prevent the spread of communicable illnesses. Then ther eis other basic stuff I do as well. Supposed to be 4 employees, one for each assigned set of tasks throughout the facility. We lost a student as he was going back to college at the end of August. He was supposed to be gone for 3 months, he won't respond to anything and as far as we know he is still there. So we were down 2 employees. We had some floaters luckily and that allowed us to fill in the gaps with some minor schedule changes. The day shift would take care of all that and heavy cleaning maintenance during the…
Corporate bull
I want to note that everyone I work with locally are fantastic, hard working people that care. Management acts as support for myself and my fellow drivers. Making sure we get what we need and truely helps us succeed. I’ve been working for 3 years at a Barricade company (traffic cones, road closed equipment, advanced warning signs, etc). Averaging 65-80 hr/weeks in the summer and 40-55 hr/weeks in the winter. The company was bought by a big corporation a couple months before I was hired. The previous owner stayed on as the state manager (Thank god!). Management pretty much stayed the same after the purchase. Just now has a corporate overseer/backer. I had a good talk with my boss recently. He informed me that I had just qualified for healthcare benefits through the company. Now I thought I had missed registration the last 2 years. I moved around a bit…
