Has anyone just hit a point with a co worker and just absolutely lose their shit on them? I work in dental, in the back clinic working on patients all day. There’s one other assistant who shares the same amount of experience as myself (10+ years) then there’s a new hire, an 18 year old who has the bare minimum experience. He can’t do the long, back breaking appointments because he’s not trained so me and the other girl take on the bulk of the schedule. Day in and day out this gets fucking exhausting having such a small staff and only two people to carry 99% of the workload. Today I asked him to do records on my patient so I wouldn’t have to get stuck uploading photos and what not when I could be starting their appointment. He goes “why?” I say “what do you mean WHY? I…
This job, is going to make me scream
So- Just some stuff from a company I've worked at for a year now. – My current supervisor is abrasive and harsh and takes things personally when I attempted to consider her and her tiredness by not asking her about something. (I thought if it was important she'd bring it up) only to be told she “Didn't appreciate” that I thought she seemed annoyed so I decided not to ask about the thing – We're allowed 6 days out the entire year (3 absences every 6 months) to be absent (But she's trying to protect her time to spend with her family) – 90-day probation for new hires I just registered for school, I'm gonna save ALL my money and just quit (and work like other shifts until I find another part time job)
Currently slated for 7-12″ inches. Look at closing and its schools, churches, and government places.
Fellow Americans, What is the hourly rate you are getting for service jobs now ? Also how has the service industry changed since we are more aware of them paying very less.
i work at a childcare facility & there’s been the same vehicle parking in front of the building everyday. it’ll have its headlights on all day & the man remains in the car but it’s still very unsettling (all of my co workers are women). tonight we had a staff meeting & some of my co workers brought this issue up & the hr lady said “what makes you feel this way though? you’re just assuming”. my manager acted like we were dramatic for having concerns. last month a parent was picking up one of their kids & another was waiting in the car when a man was trying to open the parent’s car doors. this was literally attempted kidnapping yet nothing is being done for our children’s safety or our own safety. it’s not the first time they act like they care but don’t do a single damn thing…
I (26M) have been working with my welding company for 7 years. I oversee a specific production area where they refuse to hire a counter part for me (I oversee two shifts). Our company experiences high turnover which leads to headaches. They’ve put all the responsibility on me, so much so that my production area doesn’t even run there without me. They literally shut down part of the plant if I’m ever gone.. All things run through me and they work me to death 60hours a week/6 Days a week. I’ve been in this current predicament for about 3 years, and as any sane person would, I’ve grown tired of it. I don’t want to completely cut my losses and lose my benefits and PTO accruals, so I applied for similar job within the company at a different site. Similar work with less responsibility and less hours. My boss was…
the duality of society
For me, as an adjunct professor, sure it's tough sometimes when there are no classes for me to teach for a semester But then I remember that with my faculty ID, I get 25% off at Goodwill every Tuesday. And that 25 cents I save on half used dish soap makes all the difference!
I miss the 90’s
Remember mowing the lawn was a good excuse if you were called and didn't answer? I hate smart phones they made us on call without us having a say. Workers were different we'd stick the assholes in the back doing stock and the normal had a good working relationship, now we just promote assholes so the bigger bosses dobt have to do anything.
