Mergers ruin Everything.
I make 11 dollars an hour to talk with patients. Medical Staff. Drivers. I answer sometimes a little over 100 calls on a busy day. I schedule and help to coordinate transportation for non-emergency medical appointments. I work from home. 8:30 – 5, every day except the weekends. Overtime is optional. I have to deal with a lot of angry people, and follow insurance laws and medical privacy laws, and act professionally for 11 dollars an hour. I am glued to my desk. I get 20 minutes of unpaid break a day including bathroom time. Other than that, I am glued to my desk. My activity is heavily monitored to make sure I am working. All of this and I do not make enough money to support myself. They did promise a raise. Health insurance. And performance reviews. I asked about these things recently, and no one has said anything.…
Must be something in the water
That was the subject line of an email sent to my whole team of about 15. Turns out it was some click bait bc the main body was talking about how she managed to promote 11/15 people in 2022 and she wanted to do the same this year. For reference we’re a tech company and most of my team is junior hires in our first job after university. She was talking some corporate shit about how courses the company would pay for but it left a really sore taste in my mouth?! Like even as a joke, what would happen if I had anxiety or was stressed out?!

fired for stupid reasons
I was just fired from my job a week ago. Over a year of long hours, constantly changing my schedule between 1st 2nd and 3rd shifts to cover people will called in, redesigning the system of manufacturing to make it more streamlined and so many more things. Not only out a job but it about $3000 I can't afford to lose in costs associated with the home purchase. I lost the house too, lender won't give me the loan if I'm unemployed. Why was I fired? I was covering 3rd shift, very tired after working 1st shift the day before, and read a letter wrong in a file name and accidentally printed 55 copies…
