What happens in a top-heavy workplace?

Work in a corporate type company where I'm producing reports all day and its getting kind of sticky. The department has always been kinda top-heavy with 4 managers and 2-3 production workers, but its getting worse, we had a junior quit last year and they've been unable to find anyone to fill it.If my junior buddy leaves that'll be me on my lonesome and its already really tough with the amount of overtime. They haven't let any management staff go as the big boss is a softy and the mid managers have kids etc, plus they are doing work, its just constantly applying for jobs but not winning many. Anyway, actual question here, what happens if all the production staff leaves? I'd be reluctant but I'd have to leave if I'm the only staff member left, plus there'd be plenty of resentment towards me and I need the reference. If I…

Had a memory pop up the other day.

I work in disabilities and I used to work for a company that was… Shall I say… Less than ideal. We had a client who had a stroke and was completely paralysed on one side and completely non-verbal. They communicated by grabbing you and kissing you. It wasn't sexual in nature, it was no different to you giving someone a pat on the shoulder. As you can imagine, it made it difficult to work with them, especially when transferring them (i.e. bed to shower chair, wheelchair to toilet etc). Obviously, I didn't have an issue with the person, it was part of the job. They also really enjoyed food (I mean, why wouldn't you? You basically are stuck in a chair with no way of communicating, what else are you going to enjoy?). Because of this, they had gained a lot of weight and were probably around 120kg. They were…

The conservatives are getting upset by the possibility of a walk able city. LOL. They would actually prefer a traffic congested, smoggy hellhole rather than accept anything the Left might suggest. Jeebus

Called desperate during job interview.

I had an interview earlier today for a job I'm more than qualified for, if anything I've done the exact job in all parts with my prior work experience. Right off the gate I could tell this guy was just doing this out of sheer obligation, completely uninterested in actually hiring me. The guy was very obviously a lifelong desk worker and his style of questioning me was… lackluster as you could guess. I ended up guiding the interview when he didn't lead, going through my resume job by job relating past work experience to everything I knew about the position (probably 95% of it). I was constantly facing implied belittlement through tone, wording, odd comments throughout it. To the point that I was questioned why I left MCDONALDS as a standard associate (first job).My reasons are solid, just to earn a comment implying I shouldn't have left. Lots of…

Quit my job after I learned that the next payment will be at the end of a March. Guess when was previous? 30 Dec. Why? No money.

That's it. I'm a pretty patient person, but I'm tired of constant delays, I'm tired of having no control of my life, because I don't know when the company i'm in, pays me for my work. Why should I fucking use credit card, why should I take money on debt (I didn't, I have financial cushion, but I didn't want that at all)? I shouldn't. And I'm tired of pretending that this situation is normal and so my quiet quitting became a loud one. I've realized that I don't have a strength to do anything for work, I think I got some psychosomatics (yeah, i think i've been sick all of december and every evening my throat is really really dry, but this ends as soon as I leave work). I quit into the unknown, I decided that at least with quitting I get money, they can last me for…

Black Tap Las Vegas !!

Black Tap Restaurant Management Shaker Girl Problems @ The Venetian Please explain to me why with all the Managers they have on staff at the Black Tap Restaurant, can they not afford to have a proper Manager train. Employees for their BIGGEST MONEYMAKER & DRAW, which is their Crazy Shakes ? It has come to my knowledge from some longtime former employees, about the way Head Management Team, along H.R. would seriously treat (intimation tactics of firing, verbal assault, Piss poor Training on new hires) their employees, especially the Shaker Girls. They have had a lot of new hires quit or by their standards were let go (Long time Shaker Girls), due to some made up BS. I have heard how the majority of the S.G's were POC & were treated Like Crap. They get slammed with orders on the weekends, with little to no help from the Management on the…
