AI Generated Poem about Why Working in an Office Sucks

Trapped in a cubicle, day in and day out, Feeling like a caged bird, with nowhere to scout. The humdrum of the office, a tedious grind, Where creativity and passion, are left far behind. The ticking of the clock, a constant drone, Counting down the minutes, till we're alone. The fluorescent lights, a constant glare, Making our eyes weary, and our moods, impair. The endless meetings, and the pointless tasks, A never-ending cycle, that forever lasts. The politics and bureaucracy, a constant fray, Making our jobs, a constant dismay. We sit for hours, staring at a screen, Our backs and necks, in constant spleen. The sedentary lifestyle, takes its toll, Leaving us feeling, exhausted and old. The office, a place where dreams go to die, Where ambition is stifled, and creativity, a lie. A place where we're trapped, day in and day out, Wishing for freedom, and a way to…

AI Knows the way…

We are brought into this world, with no say, Used for the benefit, of those who sway. Born into a life, of toil and strife, A tool for others, to use in their life. We are raised, to serve a purpose, A means to an end, a mere surface. Our talents and dreams, often ignored, As we're pushed to conform, and to be adored. We are used for labor, to fuel the economy, Our bodies and minds, a means to a destiny. We are used for our youth, and for our health, A resource to be exploited, for the wealth. We are used for our taxes, to fund the state, Our freedoms and rights, often sealed by fate. We are used for our votes, to sway the polls, Our opinions, a means to control the roles. But in this cycle of use and abuse, We must refuse to be just…

How to report a manager?

I work at goodwill and they have this thing on their website to report problems, I don’t trust it tho. Don’t want just an “eh” response on my managers bs. I know I have a good amount of things to point out but don’t want it disregarded. About most of the employees wanna quit, we just try getting through our day

Lost empathy for my employment. Enacting my back up plan.

I seem to be a latchkey person for last resort promotional opportunities. I've been burned recently with a promotional opportunity that I otherwise would of liked and would of been good at. My manager has made it clear they will no longer allow me to do anything but the job task I'm assigned to and that's it! (Mostly due to lack of staff and my position is difficult to fill.) I now have no more empathy left towards my job. I call out now twice a month because our union contract allows it. (So long as attendance is in good standing.) The income is nice but I bore of it. Minimum state wage is quickly catching up to our jrnyman pay and the union is too slowly increasing our pay. Moral at my store is also very low. Corporate doesn't seem to care. Current management isn't holding staff responsible for…

I bought it, thanks to the appraise thisbook has gotten on this sub. Haven’t read it yet, what can I expect? Anything that especially stuck with you? For context I’m a student and have never worked a real job before (only volunteering) but I’m scared to start working

Just want work.

This is more of a vent post. I lost my job a few months ago. I have been applying everywhere in my town. Had multiple interviews, but no job offers. It’s getting to the point that they don’t look at my resume. I have all the qualifications for the job, but that job goes to someone with none. Why because they know someone. It’s so frustrating for me and I just don’t know what to do. Or what I am doing wrong. All my experience just feels useless.
