I'm sure at least some of you are aware of what is happening with dungeons and dragons right now, and how the massive canceling of subscriptions has caused them to back down. My question is this: given that we have now seen what unity and the withholding if our dollars can do to a multi billion dollar company, why are we not using this same strategy elsewhere?

When I was living at my mom’s house, she’d reprimand me for having 3 day weekends, one time I got a 3 day weekend, and she asked “Did you ask to pick up more hours on with me?, when I said that I had to take a 3 day weekend, she demanded id do “one class” to make sure I’m doing 5 days a week at minimum. What the fuck, that’s such a stupid thing to claim to be “important”. Thank god I don’t live with her anymore

Thoughts on if I should make a bot that reports job listings for not including salary range in states with transparency laws?

In October of last year a (union) company reached out to me for a possible employment opportunity. I work in the trades (HVAC) and I went through all the motions for this new job without saying anything to my old employer. This past Monday I was finally officially offered the position and told to put in my two weeks notice, which I did on Monday. I was fired on Wednesday after an “exit interview” with a manager. At the end of the conversation I was told that I needed to pay back a bonus they gave me when I first started. I said find the paper that stated I would have to pay it back, and honestly if I did have to pay it back then it's what I'll do. I started the new union job on Thursday.
