My company cut a few positions due to loosing 2 big clients. Even tough its a different Department and mine is unaffected as of yet. I am worried because the people who got fired where remote workers, long time employees. Just like me. They we re kinda thrown under the bus and did not expect to be the ones fired neither did I. Now my question is should I reach out to HR and check with them how safe my Job is? I feel its a close relationship or the closest I ever had with Management. I really like my Job. Interesting yet highly likely biased article regarding home ownership and paying off mortgages across three generations.
On Friday the company I worked for was “forced” to make reductions due to “micros and macros and changes in the econmy” For background we were a mobile mechanic company, who i wont call out by name. Last year we purchased another mobile mechanic company who offshores their phone calls and all of the mechanics are 1099. Their “macros” were essentially, they realized they could pay a fraction of the cost for labor, at the expense of the customer, and the team who had been loyal to them. There were some who had been with the company for 8 years…from the very start of the organizations creation. Rumor has it…

I take courses while working a regular job because I have an employer who is willing to be flexible. One of my courses this term requires group projects (ugh) and the self-appointed project leader decided that we needed to complete the project in record time. We have 3 weeks to complete the project., She's been hounding me the last week about how she does't know how she's going to be able to put my name on the project if I don't complete something soon yada yada. I stood up to…
