CEO decided this month that we need to come back to the office despite productivity being all time high since the company exists.
Tinfoil hat time:
My running theory of why time travel “doesn't exist” is the government is covering it up so retail employees from r/antiwork don't go back and murder an infant Mariah Carey so they don't have to hear that God forsaken Christmas song anymore.
Like the weekend never even happened.
Context: I’m planning ahead for spring break and I’ll be gone for probably a week, my cat has a small automatic water fountain and (I think) a semi-automatic food dispenser, the first few times I was on vacation, I had requested my neighbor to look out for him but he wasn’t the friendliest with the neighbor and unfortunately it didn’t end too well and this happened twice, I made sure to compensate the neighbor after each time but I’m also worried that he might not be friendly with strangers despite having limited and ambiguous data. The cat does seek to be more friendly to strangers when I’m around though so this may be a situation I have to ask somewhere else. But back on topic, what’s a good pay for someone to look after the cat for a week? Making sure the cat is eating and drinking well and occasionally…
Christmas is always irritating. My dad is racist, my mom is stressed, and my sister was always my redeeming factor. But today, fuck, today, I am SO tired of their disgusting behavior. They are republicans, and I get that people have dissenting opinions. Having differences of mind is important, it allows for growth and change. My sister is a good bit older than me, graduated and has a solid career, has her own house. I’m still in college, 2nd year, working as an asst. manager at a pizza place for 15.85$. CA. Tell me why my sister tried to tell me that I didn’t deserve tips because it was ”useless” to tip people who aren’t servers. She didn’t specify me, or my…

I am freaking out. My husband is a brewer at a local brewery in the US that profits millions a year- from recipes my husband writes and brews and his benefits package doesn’t include any parental leave. None at all. He has to use PTO to take time off to spend time with me and our new son. Our baby came three and a half weeks early on the 11th and my husband only had 13 days of PTO for the rest of the year, he used the rest up earlier this year before we knew we were pregnant. I was able to get 13 weeks maternity leave through my employer, but only 8 weeks full pay, 5 weeks half pay. The past two weeks have been such a struggle and that is with both of us being home and both being hands on with taking care of our baby.…
