My employer snitched me to the Russian Army

I understand that this sub is mostly dedicated to American workers but I've been reading this sub for a couple of years and wanted to share my story. My last job was actually great. I didn't really get tired and enjoyed my days off instead of just recovering for work, above average wages for Russia, my bosses respected me and I got promotion after a year of work. Then the war broke out and things started to collapse. I used to go to protests against Putin in 2021 and called everyone to do the same or at least vote against Putin but this time everything seemed futile. My employer called a meeting and promised to make an office in Cyprus but they didn't keep their promise. Everything started to REALLY collapse after Putin declared mobilization. The company held another meeting but didn't tell anything really. They promised to reserve the…

Any jobs for a genius?

I've (M20) passed multiple IQ tests and scored over 180 points every time. I speak English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese and Korean. I only graduated high school and have the shittiest job anyone could even come up with. I'm just wondering if there's a job anywhere that only requires a high IQ and pays well.

I keep thinking of this interview I had awhile back.

It was for a position at a surgery center, often considered an “entry level” position (especially by other O.R. staff, like nurses, which is very relevant) even though it requires a lot of specific knowledge that other staff don't have as well as certification. I was already certified and had experience. Most people don't know this type of job exists at all, so that's uncommon. I was trained at a hospital and worked there from September through December of 2017. However, they wanted to pay me state minimum wage even after I got certified, so I found a surgery center that offered me $5 more per hour and worked there for a year and a half. Got sick of that place. This is when this interview took place. My resume was honest, including why I left the first job (I realize that was a mistake). The thing that really stands…

End of the day, no matter what salary, rank, job duties and work arrangement the job has, I hate working

I hate working and I hate having a job. It does not matter what job is it because I simply hate the thought of exchanging 8-9 hours of my daily life to be managed, controlled and answerable to someone. My aim now is to find the most flexible job, easiest job duties, shortest work hours, decent pay and nicest boss (out of my control) job.

Hiring in this age of fast tech disruption is very confusing. What are the Best Practices, Standards, or what is the vision of what your team is trying to accomplish?

That’s difficult to discern when each person applying for a job has varying skills and knowledge.

I just have some trouble understanding antiwork

Because of a few reasons, I am not trying to start violence I just was wondering a few things. First is how do you all expect society to run if no one works. Two how do you expect to get money for not working. Third is one that I am personally very unhappy about and it is if any of you live of welfare do you feel bad that you are taking money that can be used for more important things. I am not trying to breed violence I am just curious.
