Future of Ai art
My employer has forced me to sit in an office and twiddle my thumbs all day so they can claim I've been responding to an emergency. At the rate things are going I may end up working 16 hours, possibly be forced to come in again tomorrow. Anyone know which agency is charge of reimbursing them? Company wide it's going to be hundreds of hours not actually worked but written off.
Any one else get effed for the holidays?
To give a little context, I'm an American truck driver of ten years, I now completely lost my passion. 2022 alone began vary well, started a company with a friend and we were rollin' we had lost 1 truck to major mechanical failure and another to a vehicle fire. We sold the remaining truck to a different company and they also hired me (it was my truck) so the only thing that changed was management, the new company turned out to be horrible, forcing me to drive illegally over HOS (hours of service, 10 hours driving or 14 on duty and 10 off) I racked 90k miles in 9 months. Wich should have been a decent income, the new owner would have trouble remembering to pay me. Would clame I was late every load and never paid me breakdown or detention/layover pay because it's still being “processed” by the brokers.…
Thank you, essential workers!
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone out there who's working those truly essential jobs. To all the firefighters, EMTs, line technicians, plumbers, electricians, air traffic controllers, and everyone else who makes our world work, thank you. To everyone who's working today not because you're essential, but because your boss is a greedy asshole: may their profits turn to ash, and may you find better employment in this new year!
A girl collapsed at work
Holy shit where do I begin. I can’t go into too much because my bosses might be on Reddit looking around. I’m leaving out some details for personal safety, because I don’t want her or I getting in trouble. One of my coworkers is rather sickly who often has doctor’s appointments. Not my business, so I’m not sure if it’s a current condition, or side effects of prior illness, because she’s clearly uncomfortable when it comes up. We had an incident with the vents failing, so the area was full of smoke. We are all exposed to the smoke, but her area was especially bad. She was back and forth a lot, complaining she didn’t feel so well. At first it was mild nausea, until she began to say she felt dizzy. After that, I’m not sure how long later, there’s a mild commotion, and apparently she’d downright collapsed from…

Realizing how horrible some of these Christmas carols are.
