I simply don’t have the energy for conversation. I only have time to focus on myself for the most part and my own interests. I rarely leave home because it feels like even more work. I rarely try to make new friends or date when I have a job too. I’m kind to everyone and get along with them but I pull away and get annoyed way too easily.

I always tell those who report to me that capitalism is a disease and I want them to do what they think is best for any situation. I support their goals, listen to their needs, appreciate any personal information they share with me or get seriously real with their feelings about their role or upper upper management. I’m pretty sure, as a Gen-Xer, I carry feelings of wanting more for my employees than I was provided as I rose through the ranks (calling Dr. Freud…) but I appreciate each one of them as humans just trying to survive this madness. That said, I was given zero dollars to do anything for them and feel like a public school teacher who’ll dig into their own pocket (I heart all teachers trying to make a difference out there) but I also feel so guilty that I should do something for them even…

So I choose not to have social media for personal reasons. Haven’t had it for almost 3 years now and I don’t plan on going back. I don’t like being online, I’m a very private person and I often have paranoia when it comes to putting my info out there for anyone to see. My partner has to deliver pizzas until 10 at night. I can't believe Dominoes is even open. Please if you're able, please avoid buying delivery pizza… And I know, if they're working, then they might as well get tips, but These employers don't need any more reasons to stay open on holidays like this…

I'm a medical device engineer for a company and when they hired me, traveling was not in the job description. Prior to being hired, I was with a recruiting company (Kelly Services) and this company asked me to travel out of state for them. After 2 months the company hires me and I've been with them for over 4 years. In those 4 years, I've traveled 3 times more than anyone else in my department and I'm the only one with little kids. If it is not in my contract to travel, can I refuse to travel without getting any ramifications? After hiring me they have added travel to the position btw.

I quit my job 2 weeks ago and was owed one week of pay that was due today. No direct deposit came in. I reached out to owner of the company and he said I would have to reach out to his wife (she does payroll) to figure out how to get my check. I know they just want me to come get it from their house and bitch me out for quitting. Is this legal? What are my options ? My boss basically said he was not going to spend the money to send my check through payroll. And that I was no longer on payroll.

Im 23, I worked for a company in Bailey, Colorado as an operator in the fiber optic industry. Traveled from GA to CO to work. Worked 8 months, everything was going good, the CEO said he loved our crew and never wanted to lose us, we finished our contract there and was supposed to be headed to a different contract. Ceo told everyone we would have a week or two off to spend time with family. 3 months passed. Our whole crew hasn’t heard from the ceo or anyone. Not even our supervisor. The company basically ghosted our whole crew. We was never told that we were fired or let go. My first week of work I did not get paid.
