Hello, I’m in WA state. I got a new job so I put a 2.5 week notice at my current job. Current job fired me via phone call after 2 days of giving my notice. During all of this, I had to miss 3 days of work due to a severe case of the flu, if that even matters. I’m filing for unemployment (my first time) and it’s honestly a confusing process. Would I get approved? I don’t start work until Jan 9th and the two weeks of pay means a lot to pay rent and bills. I feel like I got screwed over and nowhere I researched says what they did is illegal.

So get this shit: I was working at store 1, and they hired me and only paid me 9/hr which oh well, it was a stepping stone to greater things. I've been in jail and prison a few times for various things and they didn't really care cos none of it was theft or anything, just drugs and minor violence. So I'm there for about 9 months and this fucking cokehead from the store across the highway from the one I'm at comes in BEGGING me to work for him so I send my then unemployed girlfriend who had just quit another job because they didn't give her the pay rise she was promised. She starts working there and he's like I WANT BOTH OF YOU TO WORK FOR ME YOU GUYS MAKE A GREAT TEAM YOU'RE BOTH SO DEDICATED TO EACH OTHER AND GREATNESS FOLLOWS GREATNESS blah blah blah…
Tech also has created paranoia, anger, and fear in workplaces over decades. There’s a lot they don’t want to discuss.
What is even more hilarious is people are actually falling for it. I saw figures like grant cardone complaining about the system as if they have any idea what's it like being one of us. Only let people who have been in our our shoes in modern times speak for us. If we let the same people exploiting us speak for us that is how we will never get out of our situation. You are about to see a lot some billionaires and millionaires lose it all as economic times worsen. They have no intention of creating a better system as they had no issue exploiting us when it was working but to save their ass they will try to hop on the side of the workers revolution because they are scared of judgment. Always make sure who you're speaking too is from the same…
I've been applying for analyst roles because I feel like I am qualified for those however the feedback I get is that I am not experienced enough. Now these roles, I almost got them but they just want a bit more experience and in some instances I got 2nd from their feedback. So I thought to myself, I'll do the role several levels lower so I get some experience albeit the lower pay which I am okay with for a short time. This role paid about 10k less but I was okay with it because I am pretty sure I was going to get it. I got the interview and when I was going through the interview, they kept asking for experience. This experience and that experience. Have I got any lab experience? Have I got any experience deploying system information nationally? Disregarding my undergrad and postgrad degrees. They want…
