Successful Employee ideas?

You always hear stories about how people have built up a successful business and started from nothing etc etc. always the same old stories. Has there ever been any incidents where an employee has suggested an idea to his boss and it’s turned out successful/profitable for the company and said employee got recognition for it?

Posters in progress- Any critiques?

Hey guys. I wanted to make some simple signs to promote worker organization. The QR codes lead to this subreddit and this site. I just want something basic to pass out bc I work with and know a lot of the retail/coffee workers in my area. Any critiques or suggestions? (I am based in SoCal). https://preview.redd.it/biqzr7mus1o91.png?width=854&format=png&auto=webp&s=a9df98fed45c7338950845370cf73506a8050c9e https://preview.redd.it/l7trvmdus1o91.png?width=854&format=png&auto=webp&s=8c499eab13f9a5bf64ea17e54c6bf9d50b518b04

my job just keeps fucking me

I got an unfair poor review because my previous supervisor was two faced and constantly lying about my performance on my review. So I didnt get a raise or bonus this year. He got fired due to his Shenanigans. They fucked me by not giving me the title of the job they were having me do, and told me I would be getting. So when I apply at other jobs I have to use my old title. Not allowing me to get the certification that would also increase my earnings potential there or elsewhere. I am rolling on year two in this role. So I barely have enough experience to leave. They are stifling my growth inside the company while make hard to leave without taking a pay cut.

how to make yourself into a safety person without college

Pretty straightforward, go to an osha outreach institute, there are several in each state, take the osha train the trainer courses for 1910, general industry and 1926 construction and become an osha trainer where you can issue osha 10 and 30 hour cards in general industry or construction. this will be a benefit to most employers and you can walk into a safety job off the street. one more thing, read the regs, become an osha expert and you will have a safety job for life. i work with a ton of safety folks, most do not have degrees in safety but you can get certifications in safety too.

Rant with job advertising and related subjects…

Hi all, Im ready to have a fit. Been more out of work than in work for the last two and a half years. Not fun, bad for the wallet. So this has made me an expert at reading job ads for the Virginia Beach VA area. This is where the rant starts. My best subject is fixing electronics. The more dangerous the better it fits my skill set. Transmitters, power systems, electronic weapons, that kind of stuff. High voltage, high current, high power. I can repair most anything if it's mostly analog in nature. Not very good with computer coding. Some time back I kept seeing ads for fixing video and pinball games. Appeared that their main business was carnival midway rides and arcade items was a second line. Answered it a bunch of times over many weeks and heard exactly nothing back. The job address was near here…

Strike averted—is this a good or bad thing?

Articles are saying the potential strike of railway workers has been averted. This good or bad? Does the agreement substantially improve conditions for them, or is it just some sort of better-than-nothing compromise? The articles themselves won't tell me, they're just going on about the consequences a strike could have had for supply chains and Midterms.
