I work in a nursing home. My supervisor talks mad shit about others, the caregivers use elderspeak, the Maintenance guy is a douche, and the Main laundry man talks my ear off about mundane ear-echoey jargon. The other housekeeper is nice, the food aides are chill, and Zach (supervisors son) is like me but 5-10 years older. Maybe he sees something in me. I am Aiden. Trench coat, tool gun, rocket boots. Flying through. Taking a ride on the housekeeping cart; mopping, sweeping, cleaning shit, the 9-yarded DRILL. It’s easy to hold a key down and activate the thrusters; but sometimes my co workers sew passive-aggression into their social fabrics. My friend recently took a job off the cuff and mentioned that even during the interview, the boss; while ultimately seeming friendly at face value, was ragging on how all the other guys they had hired were “shit”. The next 2 days he worked for them, things only started getting more blatantly obvious how bad it was. His first day, even his new coworkers mentioned how extremely toxic the boss was. I don’t feel like I have an option anymore. I’m lucky that I’m currently living with my father so it wouldn’t be a huge deal if I leave before another job lined up. I made a post before on here and things at work has become progressively worse. I got in trouble for putting away something that was Suppose to be go in that exact spot I put in in because I didn’t check with the visual lead. But I didn’t need to. My boss blames Everything on me. She makes me feel incompetent when I been with the company for 2 and half years. And the other day she allowed a customer to literally scream and get up in an employee face. Like, why does it have to get to the point?
