Uniforms are required where I work, however my manager forces us to take our uniforms home, so they do not have to compensate us for donning and doffing our uniforms. I keep my uniforms in my car cause I do not have the space at home for them, I would much rather keep my uniforms at work in the uniform room. So my questions are: 1. can my employer require me to take my work uniform home? 2. Can my employer require me to change off the clock? Currently I bring uniform to work, clock in and then I change, but my manager says I can’t do that.
We are switching from 12 hrs 2 on 2 off schedule 7 days a week to 8 hrs 5 days a week. I’ve been here 7 years and have seniority over everyone at my position on every shift. Reasons they want me on night shift is I am single and have no kids and it’s easier for me to do it then people with kids.
Best detox drink for weed
I got a job for a big company but they do drive test. The last job I did a drug test for didn’t care if I had a medical card and withdrew the job offer after I failed for weed. Please help and point me to the best one!
Fired with no reason
So I was fired and told it’s because of “overall suitability with the company and it’s the objectives”. I asked HR and they just repeated the same. What are my options? I am passed probation, was given no verbal or written warnings about anything, I was given more and more work and responsibilities. I was great at my job. This isn’t sitting right with me and I’m hoping someone can advise me on what I can do? I live in Canada
Hi! Wondering if y'all experienced this or had any talking points before I see my manager. Basically, I work a minimum wage service job with low tips. Last summer, we all got a raise to be 26 cents over minimum wage. Our state's minimum wage increased by 50 cents on January 1. So now, I'm sitting at minimum wage without the extra 26 cents, so it's like my company raise just went away. Is that allowed? I know I'm making more overall, but they say we get a raise each year. It just seems like a 6 month temporary raise to me?!

Cooworker passed away last week
Friendly fellow in the cube right behind mine. Sudden cancer, gone in a month. They were cleaning his cube out today. I hope to be long gone from here before I’m long gone myself. Work as little as possible. Enjoy your families.
