Is the vibe here more “nobody works at all” like I see in the description, or more socialist-with-capitalist-tendencies oriented like I see in the actual content? Just a general rundown of the sub is what I'm looking for lol.
My former good boss was open to the idea of me talking to her boss if I felt that my boss wasn’t doing her job well. This lady was one of the best supervisors. She wasn’t scared of me talking to her boss because she knows that she’s a healthy person. My current boss does not allow me to talk to anyone, not even small talks. If she found out from another person about a personal fact about me (that I went to a concert because I shared it with them in the hallway), she would get mad that I was talking to people. This is the most toxic boss I have ever had.
I just love the younger generation for not putting up with shitty work environment. They know their worth as human beings. They’re not willing to be dehumanized, which is something that everyone regardless of age should learn from. My niece quitted two jobs within two years and has been at her current job for three years. She said she loves this job and will stay long.
I probably made a stupid decision, but the job was wrecking my physical and emotional health. It was also wrecking my relationship. I started a few months back as a package handler and was thinking at the time it would not be so bad. I have been hopping freight around the country for years and living on the streets but I am getting too old. So I got the job, a car, and apartment. I don’t have shit for a resume and they hire anyone. It wasn’t bad at first, but it got worse. While there I was exploited. I busted my ass and in my probation period I got employee of the month. Little did I know that the harder you are a worker, the harder they work you. It never stops. The tasks become more and more extreme. The hub is short staffed bad. A lot of nights…
