Years back, I attended a company awards ceremony with 100 others from around the world. I performed well during the year, and the company felt it would be an honor to have us all come to Florida for a week of training, followed by a night of awards and an open bar. I was allowed to bring a significant other on the last night, so my company flew my mom from the wintery northwest down to Florida for the weekend, which I appreciated. The hotel we were staying at had 2 elevators, and we learned they were painfully slow when trying to accommodate 100 people trying to get to their rooms at the same time. i was being sexually harassed at work by my boss so i called HR. I gave them video evidence and witnesses. They took me off the schedule and i’ve been out of work for more than a week. They’re saying they’re switching me from the site i used to work at to another site and keeping the guy who sexually harassed me. Now they’re saying they’re having trouble finding me a spot because of my availability (which is only 3-11 because of transportation issues). I cant be out of work this long because i live paycheck to paycheck. What can i do?

I swear if people tell you to get a roommate to afford rent you have a problem. A single person should be able to afford a one bedroom all on their own. Now you got couples trying to squeeze into Studio apartments or a 1 bed room if you're lucky. It's not like we are even asking for “luxury” apartments. Is it really “spoiled” that single people want to be able to afford rent without needing help?

I’m posting here in addition to legal advice because of frustration, and in case anyone has experienced this here. What is my course of action for workplace harassment, IL Hello, here is my current situation. I have been experiencing retaliation and sexual harassment in my workplace. The retaliation started when I reported a contracted employee to a manager for racist comments. The manager simply told them to stop and they began retaliating against me by sabotaging work and abandoning their post when we have to work in close proximity, leaving me alone when backup is required. I told a higher manager about these instances and they told me, “ I don’t really want to deal with this right now” And that was it. Honestly isn’t the first time. I had a meeting last year about this even though as of 12/31/22, I gave the company 36.5 hours of my remaining sick time. Now with the new year, I have 80 hours to use. My job is extremely stressful, I get called out at odd hours but I enjoy the work, just hate the management side of things. Anyhow back to the 80 hours. We have a sick time policy of how to use it, it’s 3 Occurrences within a rolling calendar year. For example; I used 2 days in February (all of this is last year) 1 in March and 2 in May. I had to use odd hours for doctors appointments hence the 36.5 left. So with the 3 sick days I used now, basically because this is the only way to use them I guess I am now at my 4th…

Hey antiwork. I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I'm really in need of advice for someone. I was talking with a female family member recently, and she was venting about the sexism she's been dealing with in her workplace. I'm going to try to be vague, because I don't want to accidentally give away any personal info that might give her in trouble, but the most I'll say is she works with clients and engineers as a project coordinator in manufacturing, even though her background and degree is in writing. Lately, her boss has been giving away all her clients to the new guy, and told her he was doing so because he was convinced she was going to start having babies in the next couple of years, and said they need someone who will actually be there to do the work (Yeah….I KNOW.…

So Tuesday at lunch, I took the afternoon off because I was not feeling well. I told two people that I was taking off for the day. 1) My boss, and 2) another co-worker. Wednesday rolls around and I worked from home because I was still not 100%. This morning, I am feeling much better, and decided to come into the office. Well, 5 different people (not including my boss and another co-worker) have asked me how am I feeling today, and if I am any better. Is it anybody's business why I took of Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday I worked from home? I am just really annoyed that everyone knows my personal business, and are keeping tabs on me whenever I am not in the office. Can someone let me know if I am a bad person for thinking this?
